So let me get this straight a high school kid is going to choose a school based on a shoe deal?
1.) If he goes to UCLA, then the hype around him is not going to be as grand coming out of college. How does that help adidas?
2.) He can not sign a deal until his college career ends, right? So why can't he promise to adidas that he will sign with them after college? You really think adidas is going to be like, "oh you're the #1 pick? Well...you went to UK. Sorry...." No, that is not going to happen.
AAU basketball is so messed up anymore. Thanks Vaccaro.

This is somewhat different though, since Bazz' dad coaches Dream Vision and has for so lon and Adidas has always funded that team think Bazz feels like he owes them. I don't have a problem with him going with Adidas or anything like that and if that helps him choose UCLA so be it.

Sounds fair to me as long as he doesn't buy any over the counter suppliments from GNC and take them. Then he would have to be inelligible. So the shoe company pays for his father to run an AAU program which recruits and develops young players and they also have a huge financial deal with UCLA to wear and promote their product. This sounds completely amateur at every level. Did we ever get that 500 win cake scandal worked out? That was some nasty business. I love the NCAA.
