One of the most high-profile recruitments of the John Calipari era at Kentucky will finally come to its conclusion Thursday--on national television no less.
Twin guards Aaron and Andrew Harrison will announce their college decision on ESPNU Thursday at 5 p.m. EST.
Richmond (Tex.) Travis 5-star twin guards Aaron and Andrew Harrison, ranked as the Nos. 2 and 3 overall prospects in the 2013 class by 247Sports, will announce their college decision on ESPNU Thursday at 5 p.m. EST.
Andrew Harrison took to Twitter Monday night, relaying the magnitude and the ramifications of Thursday's decision:
@DrewRoc5: Thursday will be the toughest decision I ever had to make but I'm looking forward to it
Tentatively scheduled to announce Oct. 29, the day after their 18th birthday, the Harrisons will now choose between Kentucky, Maryland and SMU Thursday, although it has long been considered a two-horse race between the Wildcats and Terrapins.
Calipari held an in-home visit the first day of the contact period, Sept. 9, with the Harrisons, who took an unofficial visit to Lexington for Big Blue Madness last October. The UK head man has scarcely recruited any other point guards or shooting guards in the 2013 class.
Calipari is 6-1 at UK with recruits making their decisions live on the ESPN family of networks, with Nerlens Noel, Kyle Wiltjer, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb, Brandon Knight and Stacey Poole all choosing the Cats on national TV. Shabazz Muhammad chose UCLA last spring.
