During his introductory press conference, Mark Stoops said Kentucky would recruit his homestate of Ohio very hard.
The Wildcats' struggles in recruiting the city of Cincinnati have been well documented in recent years, but that changed Saturday night when Cincinnati (Ohio) LaSalle 3-star cornerback Jaleel Hytchye became the first high school player in the Stoops era to commit to the Cats.
Hytchye (5-11, 170) chose Kentucky over Pittsburgh and Tennessee. He also held offers from the likes of Boston College, Arizona State, Indiana, Louisville and Penn State among others.
Hytchye, who attended UK's junior day last spring, plans on taking his official visit to Lexington prior to national signing day Feb. 6.
