Kendall Randolph committed to Kentucky following an in-home visit with Mark Stoops Tuesday.
Mark Stoops' days as defensive coordinator at Florida State paid big dividends Tuesday when Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln 3-star defensive back Kendall Randolph committed to Kentucky following an in-home visit with Stoops Tuesday.
Randolph cited his relationship with Stoops dating back to his days in Tallahassee.
"With Kentucky, Coach Stoops was like my best friend when he was at Florida State. With him going [to Kentucky], nothing has changed with us. He's just at a different program," Randolph said. "I've developed a good relationship with Coach [Derrick] Ansley and Coach [Bradley Dale Peveto]. That's really what it comes down to."
Ranked as the No. 32 cornerback nationally by the 247Sports Composite, which takes into account rankings across multiple outlets, Randolph is scheduled to take his official visit to Kentucky this weekend.
Randolph is Kentucky's 25th commitment in the 2014 class and bumps the Wildcats up three spots to No. 21 nationally in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
In addition to Stoops, Randolph was recruited by UK defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley.
In addition to helping UK at cornerback, Randolph will also bolster the Cats' return game.
