Kentucky's regular season opener against Maryland was enough of a challenge in and of itself but the Wildcats are also switching up their travel routine after another storm pounded the east coast.
UK coach John Calipari said the team's chartered flight to New York City was moved up due to expected travel issues after a Nor'easter lashed the city with up to six inches of snow Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
"We changed what we were going to do,” UK coach John Calipari said. “Normally we'd go class, practice, then leave but the weather is just so unpredictable with what's going on we just said let's get out of here in the morning and get up there. We'll practice in the Barclays Center either on the practice court or on the court.”
