Hey Chris,
James Young is 6'6".....is that legit and is he strong enough/big enough to play SF? I think we have SG pretty well covered with the Harrison's.

I know there are a couple of existing Young threads and wanted to start this thread and keep all the Young discussion here.

Young will likely play 10-12 minutes a game at the SF spot and 10-12 at the SG spot... Last year, I don't think anyone averaged over 30 minutes a game, even though they basically only went 6 deep with Wiltjer and Vargas getting what was left. I think we end up going 7-8 deep this year, so, I really doubt anyone gets close to 30 minutes, so, even though Harrison may be the starter at the 2G, there's still going to be available minutes there and at the 3..

I think he is coming to UK, he has a scorers mentality and can play the 2 or 3. Coach Cal is good at adjusting to the personnel that he has. It should be a great year in 2013-2014 for the Cats.

I'm very excited about this (likely) pick up. I've been big on Young since he first started mentioning UK as his leader, I actually remember hoping we'd back off Troy Williams and focus on Young. Put him with the twins and how do you guard the perimeter? Three big wings, elite athletes, with elite scoring skills, and quality perimeter shooters. How do you deal with it? That video Chris linked is best highlight package I've seen of him, think it really showcases what we're getting.
