    UF's recruiting coordinator just resigned as a fallout from the Miami mess and rumblings from the NCAA are that penalties are coming for those that were involved. Clint Hurtt is known to be involveved with Shapiro at Miami, the question that remains is if he's still cheating at UL. Personally, I don't think he went to the river city and hit the straight and narrow, especially when you see all the recruits he's pulliing out of South Florida.

    80, to be honest, he isn't pulling a whole lot right now if you base things on 247 recruiting rankings.

    I do agree it's strange when he gets kids like Bridewater and Lamb to commit but I think his mojo is gone at this point, especially when UL is going to passed over for any serious conference affiliation.

    It's what he pulled in the last couple of years as well. Just not right now.

  • The thing that's fishy about Hurtt is that he only seems to be this great recruiter in Miami only. I understand that is probably his main area, but Miami is the only place he really gets the high profile guys from.... not to mention which ever position they are in serious need of the coming year he signs the highest rated kids for. Just seems if he was the all world recruiter, he could go to any place and bring those 4 star kids in, not just in Miami only..... hmmm wonder why??

    Since it's our first game, I'll consider this relevent to the thread...

    I've seen Clint Hurtt's name popping up a lot more frequently in the last 24 hours, especially now that Hill is out at UF due to the Miami scandal. Not going to lie, I wouldn't mind a bit if he exits the UL program here soon.

    I think the even bigger issue for UofL could be will Teddy Bridgewater's eligibility hold up given his strong ties to Miami and Hurtt?

    This. I would be down right scared if I was a UL fan. Oh, wait, I would be delusional and clueless if I was a UL fan, so maybe I would be just fine.

    The UL radio just keeps saying that its all old news and there is nothing to worried about. He just gave a player a ride to a house. No big deal.

    This. Way, way too much support academically to fail. IMO, you have to put "effort" into doing poorly.

    Btw I dont see how Strong didn't know that Hurtt was dirty before he hired him.

    Strong is just as dirty as Hurtt.

    You think Urban Meyer was clean? No SEC schools, hell no big time college football factories are clean, it's just a matter of degrees.

    Many thanks to fellow board members for all the excellent input. I'm getting into football mode finally. Damn it's exciting!

    Also a big thumbs up to the real UK fans for are fighting against the posters who are trying to undercut our team and coaches. They aren't sunshine pumpers. They're real fans. Either get on board or get the touch out!

    This. Not only did Strong know Hurtt was dirty, Strong hired Hurtt because Hurtt knew the game at the big football factories and was willing to do some of the behind the scenes things like you read about with the Miami/Shapiro deal.
