Seriously, can't people just be happy for a day? I mean, why does EVERYTHING have to be turned into football vs. basketball? Just enjoy the day. It's clear they are making a concerted effort.

Sorry, wasn't trying to either. Some twitter folks were already starting in about UK not supporting football. I just hate to see when people only seem happy if they're unhappy, you know? That seems like a terrible way to live.

A bit off subject, but thought about this driving up to stadium today... wonder how Joker Phillips feels today? A friend of mine saw him and his wife at the airport the other day. Probably a good idea for him to get away for the weekend, but has to be a difficult thing. Anyways, back to today's event...

It might not be all bad for him. I'm sure he's sad but maybe he also feels like a 50 ton elephant has been lifted off his shoulders as well.
