Cats getting their last warm-up shots on the floor now. MKG is isolated on one end by himself, shooting from 15-17 feet out, straight on. He's hot so far, stroking a bunch of 'em.

I walked past Bill Walton coming to the court. That was *really* cool. I've been around a ton of great athletes over the years, but he's definitely iconic when it comes to college basketball. Felt like asking him for some witty knowledge.

Kansas out for final pregame shooting now. Jayhawks in their blue unis with red trim. They enter the court past the UK student section to a rousing wave of boos.
Judging by reactions to teams coming out, stuff on the video boards, UK has about a 75-25 edge in the stands tonight.

Talked to some team officials before the game. You can cut the anticipation with a knife. They say the hardest thing is managing this week. The Cats have been down here for almost a full week now, and they've played ONE GAME. Think about that. All the extra time, responsibilities, etc. They must feel like caged animals right now.

Always hard for me to judge pregame warm-ups. I've seen guys who hit everything and couldn't hit anything in the game. Then I've seen guys lay bricks in pregame and tear it up when the ball is tipped.
At any rate... The Cats looked good shooting the ball in warm-ups. Take it FWIW. (Not much.)

I'm ready for this. I hope they can stay out of foul trouble, knock down free throws and don't have a off shooting night.
It has been 14 years now since UK last played for a championship, bring it home team.

MKG with his pregame dance before the Cats run onto the court. He mixed in a "lobbed pitch" that he jacked out of the park for a home run this time. I haven't seen that move before.
