This group of guards makes me realize why Cal preferred to take Ryan Harrow!

    Exactly. Made a good choice.

I think Rodney Purvis may be the best point guard prospect in this class and I just look at him and go, "eh."

Sums it up, UCLA NEEDS Shabazz Muhammad. Kyle Anderson will not solve anything without Shabazz. He has not impressed me at all. In 2 years Andrew Wiggins will be one of the top senior recruits we have seen, and I am so happy that John Calipari is already recruiting him. Shabazz Muhammad is doing everything for the USA, the USA is playing flat. The world has chemistry and is playing well. Basically what I've got out of this game. Really hope Wiggins ends up in Lexington though, he finishes like a Lebron or MKG.

This game was the quintessential US vs. World matchup. The World team looked like they had played together extensively while the US team had no chemistry whatsoever, played selfishly and tried to go one on one every time down the floor.

Tough game to watch. Not to mention the team composition was completely off.

  • Here's my most recent article on Wiggins from 3 months ago when Cal watched him up in Ohio.

Florida State (his parents' alma mater) and UK are the schools recruiting him the hardest and that he mentions the most.

Wiggins has already taken two unofficial visits to UK, one for the Florida football game last season and for the Carolina game at Rupp.

    Cal watches Wiggins

Over the weekend, UK coach John Calipari traveled to northern Ohio to watch the No. 1 sophomore in the country--Huntington (W.V.) Prep small forward Andrew Wiggins.

  • Mitch Mc Gary turns 20 in June? Was he held back like 3 times?

  • Will we see Wiggins again next year?

It would be great if he absolutely takes over. If he gets a bit stronger, i just don't see anyone really stopping him.

Correct, it was basically looking like the McDonald's All-American game for the USA, or maybe they thought it was. I think it really took them by surprise with the world playing as well as they did. I definitely noticed it too. The world played unselfishly, and had actual chemistry, while for USA about the only passes I saw were from Archie Goodwin to Shabazz Muhammad or sometimes Kyle Anderson. I stuck through it though, and came away with a more accurate depiction of Wiggins than I had before. Curious if he re-classifies, and if not, if he competes in this 2 more years.

Package deals are very, very rare unless you're talking about the Harrison twins, which is exactly why you won't see XRM at UK.

I still think it's a possibility. There have been a few in the past, Deuce Bello, Quincy Miller, a few others I can't name at the moment. But the fact that they've visited together, and Wiggins is considering re-classifying to XRM's class, sticks out at me. For me, I believe it's a distinct possibility.
