  • Jeff/Chris, I can't tell from the pictures, but what do the stripes on the blue pants look like. Are there two checkered darker blue stripes, with a single white strip in the middle?

  • I noticed a little while ago that Woodson re-tweeted some fan's tweet wondering out loud (or on twitter) whether black unis are in our future. Woodson did not comment, but simply re-tweeted it. Considering he's on staff, I can't help but wonder if that was a subtle hint.

  • The video on ukathletics with Denise Scott provides some good insight into the design and features of the uniforms. Like that they wenet back and looked at Bear's old uniforms.

  • They may look different up close, but on TV or from the stands, they will appear as the same ole' uni's to us. I'm disappointed myself.

  • I pulled this from ukathletics.com kind of an interesting note made by Joker:

    Phillips, who will have the final say on uniform selections for each game, said UK's new uniforms will feature more looks than the two modeled at Thursday's presentation. Kentucky's uniforms won't change features every single game like Oregon, but there will be subtle changes from time to time.

  • I'm not sure what some people were looking for?? Anyway, I just got a chance to see them on something other than my BlackJack phone. I like the blues. I've always been a fan of our all blue look, but thought it needed tweeking, and I like the changes. I LOVE the white unis. I'm not a fan of incredibly elaborate schemes with the unis. Not a fan of Oregon's at all to be honest. I think they did a very good job of creating a classy look that has some nice changes. Just MO.

    Larry Vaught has several pictures, and yes, I see a silver border around the numbers on the uniforms.

    Unless I'm mistaken, the silver trim around the numbers was already there on these last unis.

  • I like the new unis. I am one who prefers more of a classic look, so I'm glad they didn't do something crazy. The whites are really nice, imho. The checkerboard design shows up much better on them, of course, and I like how they run the design around the back of the pant legs as well. The interlocking UK is our brand, so I'm not real surprised that there is no Power K. I do like the Power K and would love to see us wear it in a throwback uni for a game sometime if possible. I don't really care about having 27 or 30 or 50 variations, we don't play enough games to see them all anyway and I prefer that they be recognizable for what they are. I kind of prefer the jersey and pants to be different colors and I think the white pants, blue jersey, white helmet combo will look awesome.
