I honestly have looked at the field once this year. I'm going with Gemologist though.

My wife thinks I have doomed Dullahan now. I had a bizarre streak of 5-6 years in a row picking the last place horse in the Derby. Didn't happen the last two years, although my horse finished toward the back of the field both times.

Only picked one winner in my life, Sunday Silence.

No winners in here. . .

missed that one some how. . . hopefully that wasn't a superfecta

I on the other hand have an uncanny ability to pick the 2nd or 3rd place horse, and since I almost always bet to win, I lose anyway.

So yesterday I played a 5 horse exacta box including I'll Have Another and Dullahan, who got beat by a neck for 2nd by Bodemeister, who naturally was NOT in my box. Would have only paid $500 or so, no big deal, I probably didn't deserve the money anyway . . .

Bodemeister finished a neck ahead of Dullahan. Ten more yards and Dullahan finishes second.
