How much better do you guys think UK's 2014 class will be than this years?? Stoops will have a full year to recruit for UK..instead of 2 months..has to be a big improvement right? Some people think it wont be a big change..I do. Whats your opinions on this? Will we see a couple 5 stars? Mabye 10 4 stars? I smell a Top 15 type class next year.
I would put anything past this staff. But I think top 15 might depend on us getting back to a decent bowl game this year. If we can make some noise and get back to a bowl game then I think that is possible. One area I think you will see an obvious improvement will be at LB. We will no doubt get a stud LB or 3 in 2014.
This year's recruiting was somewhat hap-hazard. The Coaches had a short period to get as good of players as they possibly could. They weren't familar with the kids already on the team, so they probably had to do a quick video evaluation with out really knowing the kids. They actually started going after guys before they even had their first meeting or even all their coaches in place. The job they did is really quite impressive considering all these factors.
Next year they will know their team. They will know who can make the transition. They will be able to evaluate the class coming in this year. They will know what positions they need to fill to fortify the team's depth. Hopefully they can generate a continued enthusiasm during the season that will get some national public notoreity that will appeal to 2014 recruits. Then let these guys work their magic with the odds in their favor. We may surprise ourselves as to what could happen.
Right now though we need to close on Timmons and Hatcher. These are KY kids and we need them to help lead the way for the future.
Agreed on Hatcher and Timmons. Man it is nice to be talking about "FOOTBALL" recruiting and possibly being able to get a few 4 stars and even a 5 star recruit.
Go BBN let's get some revenge on A&M today
