  • What's the definition of insanity? The time for a change is here and now. Until just about 4 weeks ago I was firmly on the support Joker train. But it is obvious a change needs to be made mid-season (as in immediately).

    UK football is in shambles and needs not only to dig deep to fix this mess, but have a sense of urgency and take a risk by letting Joker go tomorrow and offer Bobby Petrino whatever it takes to get him here. The only thing we need to hold him to is a large buyout.

    The players and the "49,000" fans that were at today's game and the WKU game deserve it.

    Step up Mitch and make a business like decision.

  • It's pretty bad when there aren't droves of sunshine pumpers to admonish us realistic fans for complaining anymore. It's almost like, they realized we were right. Man is it frustrating to watch this team continue to be set up for failure!

    No need in trying to call people out. That's childish with the sunshine pumpers crap! I complain plenty and have said Joker would be gone right after the WKU game but I'll still support him until he is fired or resigns. Those who still support Joker are no less fans than you.

  • I went to my first game in three years today (I live about 5 miles from UK). I got free tickets and a blue lot pass, it was my sons' first game at CWS. I have no idea why I subjected myself and my son to it. I guess it's why all UK fans do it, there always seems to be some glimmer of hope that we might, just might pull off a win or do something special. I lost a little more of that hope today. Luckily my son was more worried about his skittles and his ice cream to pay much attention to the debacle on the field.

    LOL. I took my son to his first game this year also. It was the WKU game. By the 3rd quarter he was playing his PSP. The guy behind me tapped me on the shoulder and said "he has more sense that both of us" lol

  • I was appalled today when I saw the team captains take the field. Isn't a captain someone who is a leader, leads by examples and sets good examples to rest of teammates? Only at UK would a player suspended two weeks ago for drugs be a team captain two weeks later. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! It made me sick to my stomach. With all the players we have that are busting their butts ON and OFF the field and this is the best this coaching staff can put out there as a captain?!? That is a smack in the face to other players doing the right thing. What kind of a message did you just send to them. Nearly ten hours later and I am still fuming mad.................

  • Yeah..........Joker's gotta go. I don't even know who they could get to come coach this train wreck but I think anybody would be better. So many boneheaded calls since he's taken over. And I don't want to hear about how he has all this young talent. If he comes back next year it will probably be just as bad.

    Don't get me wrong. I love our young playmakers like Collins, Robinson, Sweat, Legree, Mobley, Clemons (redshirt), etc......But I have a question. How's that offense going to look next year after the O-line loses Warford and Smith? Coaching is the biggest problem but right behind that is the play of the O and D-lines and until they get better, UK won't get much better.

  • I would like to ask if anyone noticed that the network coverage the 1st quarter almost looked like the game was being played at MS.States field? I didnt see the KY sidelines once and the cameras were on States coaches and fans in between plays and the announcers spoke of State 90% of the time. I know this isnt important but I was just wondering if anyone noticed it also. THANKS

    I noticed, but not exactly that. Being at work I didn't catch all of it, but it seemed that after every commercial they had some segment where Mullins was talking about his team.

    I didn't see it that way. They talked about our frosh qb's quite a bit. Other than that there's really not much about UK to talk about. I guess they could have talked about our horrible record, our terrible team, and/or out terrible inept coach. I'm glad they kept it on MSU lol

    Sure he can. But two weeks removed from a drug related incident is not enough time to earn trust back. Especially not to the point of being honored in this fashion.

  • I am not sure we have enough facts to determine that, is all I am saying. I am not thrilled with the idea but there is not enough known to make the initial statement in this thread or condemn the kid.

    True, but reports came from CP staff though saying it was drug related. Pretty solid source IMO.

    Truth is it's small potatoes in the grand scheme of things that make up UK football this year.
