Anyone who has said on here that Joker is done for because he is over his head; anyone who puts any kind of blame on Barnhart, has been called everything by these "sunshine pumpers" who are delusional. Every year it is the same thing from the same people about this football program. How many games are we going to win?
This is what happens. We get report after report about this and that player and the upcoming season. How he had developed into now a SEC quality player but was signed at UK as a "wish and a hope". The SSP then start the we will win games with these very good players. Predictions start from the UK low of 6 wins to the unblievable of 9 and even 10 wins. All this predictions are based on not play on the field but media reports from UK.
Now supporting UK is fashionable. The SSP try to say we are the better fan because we support the team and Joker. In reality you are the worst fan. You accept what is on the field and call it a football program. You take one good performance from Max Smith and he becomes UK's next AA. You make excuses for losing which is the worst trait of anyone who wants a football program at UK.
So to all the SSP's, I salute you.

Again, you do not know all of the facts and neither do I. You are condemning the kid with one known piece of information and you don't even know the details of what you do know. There are numerous scenarios I can think of in which a kid messes up and then is a captain two weeks later.

Sorry pal, I DO know the facts, I am just not posting them on here. One caught using and/or in possession of drugs should NOT be named captian two weeks later or for the rest of the year in my books. You go ahead and try to put a spin on it anyway you so choose. That is the problem with society today, always trying to justify wrong actions. A WRONG choice was made by the player and an even bigger WRONG CHOICE was made by this coaching staff to honor as a captain 2 weeks later. Cover or excuse all you wish to. I was held to higher standards than this growing up, and I held my own kids to higher standards than this and I do not make excuses for those that do wrong. Yea you can redeem yourself, but it takes far longer than 2 weeks. We all make choices. If you make the wrong choices you should have to pay the price. With all those players on that team, this really is the best type of leader we can name as captian?!? If this is the case, Lord have mercy on us all, we are in deep do-do!!

The universities have their own policies when it comes to drug use. UK has one of the strictest. On to your point about making him a captain. I can't make a judgement on that because A) I don't have a clue what's going on with the drug case and B) I'm not around the program everyday.

Allow me to re-phrase, since I do not know all of the facts as you claim to know, then I am not perpared to react in the way that you have in each of your posts. I am not excusing his behavior in anyway shape or form nor am I justifying anything. Simply stating, don't have all of the facts and not willing to make an assessment until I do.

The point here is that there are rules and do we condone a double standard or not. It doesn't matter if you agree or not with drug use or if the entire team is using. In life, there are rules and consequences for getting caught using drugs. Under many circumstances, you simply lose your job. On the field, which is a privilege when compared to most jobs or careers, there are rules but consequences are optional? It should not be any different.
