A Former Football Cat in Need - Mike Scott

  • Mike is a former walk-on that became a student assistant coach. He is currently an assistant coach at Milton High School in Alpharetta, GA (a football factory) and has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. He has a family with young children. Tony Neely provided this information:

Mike Scott begins his third year as a student assistant coach with the
Wildcats. He will assist Guy Morriss with the offensive line and also
coach the offensive line of the new junior varsity team.

Scott, a native of West Chester, Ohio, was a center and guard for the Wildcats
in 1994 before his career was ended by costal chondritis, an
inflammation of rib cartilage and enlarged heart. He began work as a student coach in
the 1995 season. His major is social work and he plans to become a coach.

Scott was a two-year letterman as an offensive tackle for Lakota High School
in West Chester. As a senior, he was named co-winner of the team's Most
Outstanding Lineman Award and also named Greater Cincinnati Athlete of the Week for
his stellar performance in a game against Kettering Alter.

On the Milton HS Football website, you can make a donation for Mike's fight with pancreatic cancer: http://miltoneaglesfootball.com/

  • If I had money to spare, I'd contribute. Thoughts/prayers with he and his family.

    Keep Calm & Stoops On..

  • Hey gang, I see the link that they have here, but the way to go may be indigogo.com and do group funding that way. Can reach a ton more people. Just a thought. May be able to get more exposure quickly.
