A quick resolution shows we are serious - No way Joker is back

  • We all know that Joker is not coming back. I just don't see that happening. Does anyone?

The quicker we end this the better off we will all be, both from a statement standpoint and for recruiting. There are too many questions right now.

    Thoughts?

  • agreed but who knows. Really starting to remind me of Bill Curry's final season

    Why so serious?

  • Yep, I think ole Joker is gone. There is no way you can spin that game into a positive. No excuses for getting absolutely mauled like that against a team that has absolutely imploded this season. But I think you have to keep Joker till the end of the season for recruiting purposes and the guys that are there now. Those boys have been fighting through this muck of a season and I do not see firing Joker today would help out anyhow.

  • BigBlueMook, I agree somewhat, but define fighting. . fighting wins some days. .the coaching certainly cannot get worse. It is a coin toss on how this would effect recruiting.

My point is that it makes a statement in that this is unacceptable and honestly embarrassing. Before Joker we were at least competitive and gave fans a reason to watch. These are horrific beatdowns that we have witnessed the past few years. Vanderbilt for one.

We have not scored a first quarter touchdown since 2010. Our out of conference record is 500 since Joker took over. Huge change but it was well over 90% before.

I doubt we loose by making a statement. At least we say we are trying to do our best.

  • My biggest question is how Mitch does not make a statement. . some sort of acknowedgement that there are football fans out there.

Borderline insulting to our biggest revenue sport.

    WLGenerals54048

  • By fighting I mean this. Nobody wants to loose, some of those players are still giving it their all. I think you're right about stating that a loss like this and a season like this is absolutely unacceptable. But I do not know what the proper way to make that statement.

  • If UK had a HC like Ga tech, Minter would be gone already. Paul Johnson will not accept losing to a Sun Belt team like Mld Tennessee. No excuse for giving up 42 Pts at half time. I swear there are high school teams in Ga and Fla that could put 20 Pts up against us. Only at UK will this type of coaching be tolerated.

  • The whole coach staff has made plenty of money...leave them in Arkansas buy thier own plane tickets back to UK then they have less than 24 hours to get out of the state or a lince mob is aloud to form!

And I'm a sunshine pumpin Joker supporter!

I Believe in Blue but enough is enough "period"

  • BigblueMook I agree with you on all parts. Opinions are for message boards and this is one, so I mine as strong as I can. No bigger statement can be made than showing we want a solution. . the only way to do that is hire a new coach. The sooner we announce that this is unacceptable, in my view the stronger that statement is.

Why wait? We all know it will happen. I cannot imagine the backlash if it does not.

  • Remember, Barnhart wants to keep Joker and will use anyone or anything to spin a + out of a -. That being said, his 'head in the sand" attitude is what the fans dislike. My contention from day one is his ego will destroy the UK football program unless drastic measures are taken and hopefully after tonight, the excuses will stop, the Joker defenders will not go away but quit trying to say they are helping the program by going to the games.

These guys are not like us. They live in their own world thinking they can do what they want when they want and by going to CWS next week the fan is saying, "We support your non-support".

  • Nice comment with head in the sand. . . unfortunately I think it is the line in the sand and we are turning into the Alamo.
