  • I knew Arky would give Vandy some problems with that pressure D. I'm not sayin Vandy isn't good by any means but after a nice string of W's and there are people talking final four??? What? Cmon man

We have seen this from Vandy for several years now. They wont make the sweet 16 and if they do that will be as far as they go. Jenkins is a great shooter but IMO he's charmin soft. Ezeli is a solid player but limited offensively. Taylor is a solid player as well but not going to carry that team to a win if needed. Finally, stallings may be a good coach but again IMO is simply not a big game coach.

  • Arkansas at home is a totally different team. Very competitive at BWA.

  • I do agree Tommy... There coach is horrid in my op. They are as soft as toilet paper
If UK canmake a great run from the start and pressure them the whole game. UK wins by 15 - 20.

I actually think Vandy is capable of beating us at their place. Remember, we have a bunch of freshman and it is one of the more difficult places to play especially for freshman. I think Vandy is a quality team and playing some pretty good D right now. I just don't buy them even a little bit come tourney time.

Tommy it is a tuff place to play. (hate that gym) However my father always told me a team with great D has a great chance anyplace in any sport. But yea there coach gives them little for the big dance.

Yep. They've still got a long long way to go to compete against the top teams in the SEC on the road.

  • I've watched Vandy a few times and they don't seem soft to me at all. They'll probably get us in Nashville. We seem to have established a reputation as a team that doesn't foul a lot though so maybe it won't be so bad.

Florida had that rep last season and was actually able to get a good whistle in many of their road games.

Vandy is no where near soft. They bump, push, pull, smack you on every cut, curl, screen, whatever. They get after you physically. Cal has said as much.

  • If we defend the 3 we beat vandy by 15. If we don't, we could lose... It's that simple. Our defense keeps us in every game we play no matter how good or bad we play on offense. That's what makes this team's margin of error on offense so much bigger than last year. If you recall, we had to execute to perfection last year on offense to win games.

Agree. They're a physical team. The only concerns are PG and a night where the 3s aren't dropping and/or they don't get the whistle.

Better hope they defend it better than last night.

Then again, I'm quite sure the scouting report wasn't too heavy on Renaldo F. Woolridge going off.

  • This year they do. I think they'll be very competitive next year. I believ 4 or five of their top guys are freshmen. Anderson should have a very solid team competing in the league this time next year.

UT wouldn't have scored if Woolridge didn't make the trip. lol.

  • I believe this is the same Arkansas team that Kentucky took apart just 2 weeks ago.

He had no 3s in the second half.
