Aaron Gordon visits this weekend

  • I for one hope that Gordon falls in love with our campus, facilities and fans once he gets here this weekend. He is super athletic and can handle the ball very well for his size and shoot it great too. I believe that he will sign with us next week. If you haven't checked him out before which I couldn't imagine that you haven't here is a link. He would look great in Kentucky Blue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI2LcYQwhrM&feature=g-hist

  • I love how he attacks the rim. Reminds me of Blake Griffin.

  • At first I thought it was odd that he would visit on a non-football weekend. But after seeing the attendance at the Vandy game, now I know why Cal suggested this weekend over a weekend with a home game even if the BB team is on the road Friday night.

I agree, Gordon is an exceptional talent and man can he dunk. He would bring as much or more atheticism than any player to come here IMO. Like an earlier comment said he reminds me of a young Blake Griffin. If Cal pushes hard for him it may be possible but he states he wont sign till spring, but there is also Wiggins and Randle what a pleasant dilemma.

  • Safe to say he reminds everybody of Blake Griffin but with a better shooting touch. Personally I don't see him going very far from home.

  • I think if somehow we miss on Randle and Wiggins then he might come east but it will take an unbelievable visit. Just wondering with us playing in New York Friday night when will he be in town? I just want us to put our best foot forward with Gordon and we better if we even expect him to keep us on his list after this visit. I sure hope we do because we need a fall back plan if something happens with Wiggins and Randle, and don't get me wrong I would rather have Gordon over Randle but the coaching staff and Cal would rather have Randle, and lets be honest I think Cal knows a little more than me lol...

You know I was thinking the same thing about his visit, most recruits come in on Fri. and leave Sun. but the Cats , like you said play at 8:30 pm Fri. Perhaps he will come in Sat. morning could be he comes in Fri. is met by athletic dept person and gets settled in and kicks back and watches KY beat Maryland and imagines himself in KY blue. The thing about all 3 is they all are going to commit in the spring and could come down to who commits first although Wiggins or Randle are the priorities. INTERESTING

  • Coach Cal and the team will be back Sat afternoon with plenty of time for Gordon and his family to meet with Cal and the team to get a good feel as to how he would fit into next years crop. I believe he will love and fall head over heels in love with our school

  • Does anyone know if it is within NCAA rules that a recruit can meet the team and coaches off site to begin with and then come to campus for the rest of the visit? Never mind I checked and they cant.
