Al Baker's son

If any you get a chance to watch Ashland play this year, Al Baker's son Quentin is a FR running back. He is very talented like his dad. He had 3 TDs in his first varsity game Friday and if he stays healthy will play high D1. A name to throw out there for the future.

Baker was a STUD coming out of HS. Offers from everyone. Came to UK and had a good career, but not the dominant back everyone thought. Loved him, though.

Al moved to the other side of the Commonwealth. He was a very good back in HS and did well at UK. Its been a while , but if i remember correctly he was slowed by some nagging injuries while at UK. He was a stud though

Al Baker was on his way to greatness until he blow out an ankle. He was never as good after that. Interesting his son is now playing for my Tomcats.

After breaking his ankle in the Cincinnati game, the next year he had some knee problems, I agree these injuries killed the greatness that he would have known as a healthy RB for UK.

That'll happen. Playing football as an occupation is a completely different story.

He actually went to camp with the N.Y. Jets. He was there for a short time before he left. I have attached a link to a story on him from his high school days. The man was an absolute stud.
