Announcement Coming on Monday: Joker to Voluntarily Resign

Announcement will be made on Monday that Joker will voluntarily resign with $2.5M buyout. I'm not sure if he will be allowed to finish season or not.

He may be right but IDK if he has any real source. But either way this should happen sooner rather than later. This game was utterly embarassing. Mitch needs to make a move and if he doesnt then he should be let go. He is part of the problem and his comments this morning proves it.

I cant get in touch with my buddies that I played with because they told me a couple of weeks ago that Joker would stay the season out before he goes and they have some connections within the program but it could have changed with Joker deciding to leave not Mitch getting rid of him.

I've covered Joker Phillips for a long time and think I have a solid feel for him. Sure seems like he knows it's over for him at Kentucky.

From what Ive heard it is over but his tenure will last 2 more games, thats the info I received almost 2 weeks ago but havent spoken to my guys since but will try to contact them asap.

I don't know if he will resign our not but i did did heart before the game that an announcement was coming during the bye week. Sonny Dykes was not the name i was told though. was told they were deep in discussions with Fulmer. I can't say that i can guarantee anything. Just what i was told. We will see how it plays pity but you can guarantee that Jokers time had come top an end be it this week or after the season.

I read something on twitter during the game that Brian Kelly at Notre Dame would look to add Joker if he is let go. Hopefully he ends up at a big program and as a coordinator.

I would take Fulmer.....at this point I'd take Fulmer, Cutcliffe, Petrino, Belotti, etc....

I'll believe it when I see it.
If he wishes to save even an ounce of respect or dignity, that he may possibly have left, then, resigning would be the more respectable thing to do.

He has not resigned... It's still Up in the air as to whether he will be brought back is fair to say. The truth is, the team has been the same all year, so another crap performance doesn't change much. This was obviously where we were headed once all the injuries hit an already bad team. But each time we get embarrassed, it's not changing anyone's mind. They either were going to write this off as a crap year with youth and injuries, or they weren't!!! Plain and simple, and so far, he's still here, so u do the math

Shepp,he hasnt resigned but he is done...You don't have crowds of 19000 and just say you are going to write it off...He is here because the season is not over..Bill Curry was fired with 4 games left in the season and he finished it out...Mitch should have pulled the plug already...This ship has sailed..
