Well I'm more or less reiterating whats been said but Duke has been using the flop to their advantage for years. However that seems to work for them a lot better than it does for other teams. The same play on the other end of the court in a Duke game is almost always a blocking foul. I also do not understand why the refs allow Coach K to yell and scream at them the way he does without giving him a technical. If it were Coach Cal or most other coaches acting like that toward a ref it wouldn't take long to be ejected from the game. The way the refs baby coach K and his players is a disgrace.
Duke has to use the flop. They don't have shot blockers. How else do you stop people from driving the ball if you can't block a shot. It doesn't bother me down low. Where it bothers me is out front with the guards going down on screens and phantom contact. Little ticky tack stuff. Thats where the refs should know better and step in. I didn't see to much of that in this game. Nothing to worry about though. They won't wanna see us in March.
