Are you really going to call every commit and ask?

    Calm yourself down. Jalen Battle only made some very disparaging remarks on Twitter after the WKU game. Not going to apologize for doing our job in that regard. Makes total sense to follow up with him.

    I guess this is also our fault. Geez.

  • No Chris. You guys do a great job. This wasn't a personal attack on Josh or anyone else. The over all theme is very frustrating. The media just beats on the football team year after year. I get it. It's easy to be negative because they are so bad. Don't you guys want this program to be a success? How do you expect the national perception to change when 50% of the articals are negative. This is a kentucky site right? Do you think the media outlets that cover Auburn are asking recruits if they are still commited?
    Sorry to get on my soapbox. I just feel like there are all kinds of interestering positive stories out there about this team. Stories I would pay to read.

  • Maximus, I am the biggest supporter of Kentucky football on this board. A lot of you may be tied, but I am at the top. I don't try to post anything negative about the program. You won't see that from me. Unfortunately, this is the hand that we've been dealt.

    I've done updates on Hyde, Yancey, Battle and Phillips so far. The only one close to asking if his commitment is solid was Jalen Battle and that was solely due to how he took to Twitter after the WKU loss. I am merely checking in on the commitments to see how they've been doing and when they plan on visiting. They are the heart and soul of the team moving forward at this point. So many times, they will commit and reporters will forget about them. My point has been to keep up with them and let the Big Blue Nation know how their future players are doing. There aren't any negative aspects to this. I understand the frustration, but I think you are looking a little bit too much into it.

  • I should clarify. I will give my opinion one way or another, but I am not the person that is going to berate the staff or program just to get hits. I'll be honest. I'm not looking to drum up any unneeded negative attention on the program. However, I am here to give the fans a scope of what's going on around the program. Any questions, comments, or concerns?

  • Thank you. And I really didn't take offense to it. So no harm done. I just wanted to explain where I was coming from. The fanbase is split right now, so I try my best to get everyone on the same page - which I know is impossible.

  • Damned if you do Josh & Chris and damned if you don't. First they(random UK fans) complain that there is too much basketball coverage and not enough FB, then they complain you don't do enough interviews of the recruits, then you are doing to many interviews with recruits... lol. Keep up the good work Josh & Chris, I'll always have you guys backs.
