All I ask of ALL fans it that you come to Commonwealth for the Samford game, and you cheer loudly for the team and the senior players. Especially the seniors, they DESERVE this. And if Joker is on the field, I strong URGE all of you to not do any booing. It's sad it needs to be said, but it does. Regardless of the record and how you as a fan may feel about Joker, you must realize Joker and the players had a pack and had each others back. These young men have built a relationship with not only Joker, but with the entire coaching staff, of which will more than likely all change. This is a life changing experience for these young men. It's not what they signed up for. Yes, they are grown young men and will handle it properly but know it's difficult for them. Let's come together as UK fans, show nothing but positive support to the team. And I also urge you to get there for the CAT Walk. Let's send this team into the Commonwealth knowing they have not lost their fan base and that you guys are there for them! Let's have this teams back in a hard time. It's our turn to step it up once again. I'm in and hope the rest will join me.

I'm sorry to have to see Joker Phillips go out like this, but with everything that has transpired it was inevitable.
But what comes next? If the UKAA, the UK admin and the UK president just hire another coach and do not make any other tangible changes, then they may as well have left Joker in place. Without that honest, sincere, true committment to football, followed up with the financial resources to make it work, and the hiring of a coach that can finally change the losing culture of Kentucky football, then all the dismissal of Joker Phillips has done is just passed the problem off to the next guy in the hopes that he can make a miracle happen where there is none likely to be had.
With that in mind, I'm waiting to see what happens in the coming weeks. I just hope there is true change for the improvement of our football program.

If they are going to do this lets put the money into the program to get results. Thank you Joker I felt u should get another year but after the Vandy game , we needed to go in annother direction BUT just dont hire someone lets get a real one & put it together to get better
we just ride the SEC in football collect r share, its time to get program to the upper levels, dont blame Joker school didnt do enough to get it to next level

There's one thing in Barnhart's letter that really disturbs me, "the search for a new coach will be managed internally". Does that mean he will not seek any outside help from former players? If so, we are doomed to repeat what we've been going through the last 3 years, because I put no confidence in MB to make the right hire.

I have mixed feelings about this. I know it had to be done but I really wanted to Joker to succeed. The guy bleeds blue just like us. Plus he seemed like a great guy. Every time I ran into him, he would talk and never seemed to be in a rush. I hope he lands on his feet and has a great career.

Dont worry its not going to be Petrino not even being considered.

I'm saddened to see so many expecting Petrino and the likes. Looks like the next coach might be a let down before he even starts based on the names I've seen. I sure hope not, bc it will take some time.. Go cats!

If Petrino had "only" had an affair, he'd still be Arkansas' coach IMO.

I mean this in all seriousness I appreciate you pointing that out, I was quite upset about something else when I wrote that and didnt go into more detail about why I think Petrino shouldnt be considered. Thanks again Sleepydog
