BRING BACK THE OLD DAYS

  • Don't the uk fans remember Cal saying that it wasn't about the wins, it was about the players going to the pros. If we weren't expecting these players to come in pro-ready, we may say how good they would be next year or later. Before Calipari, we did not see freshmen play much. Ref.: Tayshaun Prince, Keith Bogans, etc. They are still in the NBA. Give these guys a chance to grow up. .

  • Do what? I can't tell if you were meaning to praise or complain about Calipari's way of doing things.

  • If anyone is a troll, it is you. I was suffering through every loss by UK and rejoicing the wins, well before you were born.

  • Barry, didn't we do things the "old way" with Tubby for 10 years? You were probably complaining then too.

  • Don't you think we had a right to complain about Tubby's regime. My original post had more to do with the over demands on the freshman, by the fans. Also, do you think it's fair for Calipari to boot the present players just to make room for the next bunch. UK would have probably played better if he did not think he had to get rid of this bunch in one year. Eventually, this system will blow up in Ky's face. When Calipari leaves(and he will), what is the next coach going to be left with?

  • Why......why.....why do we keep having to listen to this crapola? coffee

  • HA HA. So Cal is supposed to abandon his system so that when he leaves the next coach will have a nice crop of players to work with. Is that what you're saying? Laughable!! No coach in America is expected to do such. They are expected to implement there way of doing things and when they leave the next coach is expected to come in and make it work and build. Thats what Cal had to do. Although I'm sure Cal will do his best to leave the next coach the best crop of recruits and players he can.

Right. I believe Cal will try to hand pick his own replacement like Pitino did, but I believe he will do a much better job doing so. I could see him lobbying hard for Miller at Zona as his replacement. Which would be a solid replacement recruits could get behind when he leaves.
