In time, the UKAA will most likely be faced with their second buyout of a major sport coaching hire by Mitch Barnhart.
He has haphazardly spent someone's money with these poor hires. Let's face it.....retrospectively, the Billy Gillispie and Joker Phillips hires and subsequent contracts were poor decisions.
Maybe it should be in his contract to pay a penalty?
I think the name fits......"BUYOUT BARNHART"..... I hope it sticks!

Dumbest post of the year so far.
Mitch had the guts to get rid of tubby and the toughness to admit the Bcg hiring was bad.
Had mitch listened to folks like you he would have gotten rid of Brooks and we never make 5 Straight bowls.
Ad's have to replace coaches all the time.
The sign of a great ad isn't whether or not he makes perfect Hires. It's whether or not they admit when they make a bad one.

And I will repeat that this is nonsense.
It works on the supposition that everyone agrees hiring Joker was wrong and that he will be bought out. But, there has been enormous dispute over that and it has not been settled. Thus every discussion will come down to the same discussion that has already occurred in every faaar Joker thread and every Barnhardt thread. Everyone will be reposting the same points and making the same arguments that are already being made.
Nonsense is not posting this in one of the countless other threads already discussing the EXACT SAME THING.
What is the chance we can get mods to combine all these threads discussing the same thing, again and again in thread after thread...
1. Mitch Says Joker is His Coach http://kentucky.247sports.com/Board/296/Mitch-Says-Joker-is-his-Coach-4881379/1
2. It's time for Barnhardt to go http://kentucky.247sports.com/Board/296/Its-time-for-Barnhart-to-go--4912429/1
3. Only at UK http://kentucky.247sports.com/Board/296/Only-at-UK-4854739/1
4. Thing's that will become obsolete in Kentucky's football future http://kentucky.247sports.com/Board/296/Things-that-will-become-obsolete-in-UKs-football-future-4897649/1
5. The last six games http://kentucky.247sports.com/Board/296/The-Last-6-games-4871672/1
6. Let's Finish Strong Guys http://kentucky.247sports.com/Board/296/Lets-Finish-Strong-Guys-4865018/1
I'm just gonna stop there. The same things are repeated over and over. It seems to me that posters seem to think it will be silly to post the same thing twice (or more) in the same thread so it is posted a second (and third and fourth and fifth) time in a second (and third and fourth and fith) thread(s).
This is absurd.

I am not asking to buyout Mitch's contract. Lee Todd gave him that unprecedented AD contract forever.
I am saying that Mitch's nickname needs to be "BUYOUT BARNHART" because he hires head coaches who are ill fitted for their positions and whose contracts must be bought out by the UKAA for millions.
The second buyout under Mitch's watch is coming within two years once we get what Mitch negotiated for Joker down to around 3 million dollars owed.

Lighten up fella's... the OP was just trying to be funny by giving Mitch a nickname. He was just trying to say that "buying out" contracts is beginning to become a habit for Mitch... assuming he may have to buy Joker out in another year or two. There were no rules broken here rompcat.

Yes, there were rules being broken plain as day.
The OP was trying to be funny at Barnhardt's expense by implying the execution of his job responsibilities was something to make fun of. This was done explicitly to poke fun at how Barnhardt is performing his job ("haphazardly spent someone's money", "poor hires", "poor decisions") by giving a nickname to the AD. Giving someone a nickname to make fun of his performance (something that many strongly contest) is ridiculing someone. 'Just trying to be funny' being the reason for ridiculing someone does not mean that person is not being ridiculed.
That is explicitly disrespecting someone. There is no way around that.
