why shouldn't he defend it? It's a stupid accusation that is merit less. The guys here do an outstanding job of covering football. maybe the LOD can complain about how the UKAA ended the embargo on the day we play a football game this week.

1. When I watch UK football this year I see a team that is lacking in talent, poorly-inspired and often with a dear in the headlights look.
2, I'm willing to watch for signs of improvement the rest of the season, but not holding my breath
3. If there is not significant improvement by the end of this season, I'm not sure another season will make much difference or be enough to save Joker's job
4. Giving Joker another yearmay be a waste of a year this program cannot afford.
5. Mitch will give Joker another season, so moot point.
6. I don't believe UK can attract a top HC away from a big school so the next HC should be a top coordinator from a big school, preferrably one who has experience recruiting the south. If he is from the defensive side, his OC should be topnoth and the assoc HC (or vice versa)
7. Whoever the next HC is, they should be very driven and proven motivators
8. the next expeniture on football should be a HC and top staff - all the money in the world thrown at CWS means nothing until the staff is right
9 despite some fans rantings, there has been a decent amount of money spent on the football program facilities in the past decade - the coal lodge and craft center in basketball weren't slights to football because they were based on earmarked dollars for those facilities. The next phase of CWS improvements are on the board and will proceed as soon as the money is there and fits the overall campus scheme
10. Basketball is not at fault for the current state of football.
I have made these points in various posts since this debacle of a season started. Repeating them here is enough. I don't enjoy rehashing the nnegative over and over (ditto after a basketball loss), I watched yesterday's game in its entirety and that is enough for me for the week. As a result, I would much rather post about something positive regarding UK sports and right now that is basketball (which, BTW, is in season). If there is a significant change in the football situation, I'll discuss it. Until then though, I'm in no mood for the whiney drivvel about it being football season, don't post articles oir threads about basketball.
