really? So PA is a hotbed but NY isn't? they're tied for 7th in the country... Since Syracuse is the only FBS School playing football it has access to a TON more talent than cincy which competes with several FBS schools and tOSU.
Seriously, you're grasping for straws pal..
Nice try. Can't blame you for trying like hell to hide your stupidity. Now is when you should just shut up and accept the fact that you made a complete moron out of yourself. It's ok. Folks on here aren't surprised.

Oh for the love of god? You are why they make the ignore button. You proved yourself wrong twice now. Syracuse, buffalo and Navy are all FBS schools. Are you kidding? Also don't forget Rutgers. Do you understand you are proving my point here? Take that into account then what do you have? Hop you just are flat wrong and you proved it yourself.

Jones was my number 2 behind Petrino. Not anymore. He loses to teams he shouldn't like Toledo and Syracuse. Also does anyone think that Jones would put butts back in the seats? No! If you don't think this ways into the equation then you're fooling yourself. Jones is nothing more than a smokescreen in my opinion.

Truth lies somewhere in the middle as it usually does in these little squabbles. Clearly its hard to win at Cincy and Cincy is without a doubt a small school with little football tradition and poor facilities, little money and support. At the same time Jones followed Kelly and has been a caretaker and has not elevated the program. He sustained the success of Kelly and they've taken small steps backwards. Granted they're young and its not always easy being a caretaker and implementing a new way of doing things when the coach that preceeded you had so much success. Players didn't feel like they needed to change so they probably rebelled at first so I'm sure it took a while for Butch to get his players in there to do things his way. Also this year specifically you have to take into account that is one of those year where Butch just simply does not have an elite QB. Not only does he not have an elite QB he doesn't even have a decent QB yet he's still on pace to win 9 games granted in a weak Big East. The rest of his team outside of QB though looks solid and they compete. So for the most part I like the guy. He's shown he can win games regardless of the Kelly factor. If he couldn't coach A. Kelly wouldn't have endorsed him at both places and B. both program would have fallen on their faces.
This hire would be a solid but not a Home run by any means. However I still contend that the Home Run for us still comes after the hire. With hiring and spending money on a great staff for the new coach, a real SEC quality staff that can flat recruit and coach. With upping our recruiting budget to an SEC level. With upgrading facilities and Commonwealth Stadium. All of this means more administration and support from the powers that be around UK football that could really make a difference. If we don't have these factors in play it doesn't matter who we hire unless its Nick freaking Saban which we know its not going to be.
