Blackout for MSU ***UPDATE: Pics from after practice***

  • Those are Fing sweet! I was worried about Saturday, but I think this will give the team that extra edge to play harder and with a mean streak. I can't wait for this Saturday now.

    Those look really nice. I'm hoping they wear black shoes with them as well, as the white shoes (even with black trim) just don't look right with black unis, but beggers can't be choosers at this point. I think the timing of wearing these is perfect as well, with the game being 2 days before Halloween AND the players and program needing any sort of extra boost they can get at this point in the season.

    Did you guys see the video that was posted on UK Athletics' Facebook page as well? Its the video from the team meeting this morning when DT and WG busted into the room wearing the uniforms to unveil them to the rest of the team for the first time. Pretty good, but I was expecting a bit more of a reaction (similar to how the Ohio U players reacted in the video that was circulated earlier in the season). Some of our guys got all excited, but there is a large number of them just sitting there. Strange.

    I completely agree usa. I am just happy we got them but if I was to change anything I would add the blue pants with the blue helmet and black cleats trimmed in blue with black socks.

    I wondered about that, too, but they have to practice in those a few days in order to wear them in a game for safety/fit reasons.

    Big question is do we see The Reaper in black on Saturday? :)

    Yeah, but those alternates were throwback, this is "black". Certainly we could be embarrassed, but at this point, I'll take it. I love them and cannot wait until Saturday!

    Had forgotten about that... But those were great-looking jerseys, IMO.

  • Is UK asking fans to wear black as well? I assume that this is the case, but I didn't want to show up and be the only one wearing black. If so, they need to do a better job than the last blackout night a couple of years ago in spreading the word. TIA GO CATS!!!
