Hope y'all are doing well. Looks like your boys had a solid first half last week and looked good.. I'm looking forward to making the trip and will be bringing my grandfather up to the game this weekend which brings me to the help request. My grandad is 83 and loves coming to Lexington. He's been coming up there for a long time but this trip is different because he has been struggling with prostate cancer and is not as strong as he once was due to all the treatment and surgery. I've researched the handicapped parking and it seems they have a good shuttle system with golf carts but we are wondering if anybody knows of a way to buy a parking pass closer to the stadium. Any help or parking tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
I honestly don't know. But if you go to ukathletics.com you should find something there. Hope you guys have a safe trip.
•Non-reserved disabled lot located at the corner of University Drive and Farm Road , capacity of 120 vehicles ($30/vehicle) - FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED UNTIL LOT IS FULL. Once the Non-Reserved Disabled Lot is full, guests will be directed to park in Parking Structures 2 or 6.
•Shuttle : Begins two hours before kickoff. Pick up is located in the Non-Reserved Disabled Lot (Tobacco Research Center parking lot). Drop off point is Gate 9. Return shuttles begin at the end of the 3rd quarter and continue until 30 minutes after the end of the game.
•A disabled guest golf cart shuttle is available from Gate 9 to any other gate outside of Commonwealth Stadium.
•Check with the Guest Services for additional help.
◦Inside Gate 11 on the south side of the stadium
◦Inside Gate 3 on the north side of the stadium
◦Inside Gate 6 on the west side of the stadium
◦Inside Gate 15 on the east side of the stadium
Thanks 1003. That is the info that I found. I was just hoping to get a little closer in case we needed to leave in a hurry if my grandad starts feeling bad. Basically, we are just a little nervous at being at the mercy of the shuttle service. I'm sure it works fine but just trying to look at all options.
There will be parking passes for sale by scalpers that could get you closer than the handicapped lot. Look for red, blue or green lot passes for sale. Those would be the closest to the stadium, although would not provide the shuttle.

Thanks DJ. We will look for those.
There is a parking garage at corner of Cooper and Sports Center Drive. (Actually, it's not right on the corner. You turn and go up Sports Center Drive and it's across from the Nutter Center.) You can park there for $20 I believe and they have a gator that they give handicap or elders rides down to the stadium for an extra $10. It's really close to stadium like a block away. You might want to check into that. I know they did it last year. Maybe if you call the UK athletic office, they can also give you more options.
