Cal says the newcomers have picked up on what UK basketball means to the fans after seeing the 600 people camping out for Madness, and that's one of the reasons why kids are spending extra time in the gym on their own at 11 o'clock at night.

Cal says this team is "unconventional." Says they have three 4s who think they're 2s and no 5s, so they're adjusting their thinking by the day about how to use those pieces.

Cal says his "unconventional" team has a lot of interchangeable parts, and that it reminds him somewhat of old Denny Crum teams at Louisville that posted up guards and switched on everything defensively.

Cal says Wiltjer has benefited greatly from a speed coach they've had working with him on his footwork, and that he's got an old-school "Mikan" running hook that he's constantly yelling at him to shoot more.

On Vargas: "Eloy's gotten better," but notes that sometimes he falls into the category of "definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over" and expecting different results.
Says the thing that Harrellson did that turned things around for him was completely changing the way he approached everything. Eloy's got to do that in order to get better.
