1) You are not watching the game, or 2) This is your first ever football game. Which is it?
UL has out played UK on offense, out played UK on defense, out coach UK on both sides of the ball, been more aggressive, played with more motivation, taken advantage of opportunities, etc.....
So, what are you "Seriously" talking about cause I am confused?

I hate to say this because I like Joker. But we won with less talent under Brooks because we had guys on staff who could develop those guys. We don't have that here right now. And I don't see it changing.
I expected the defense to not be good. But I didn't expect them to be this bad. It would've been FAR FAR worse if Strong hadn't put in Stein in the 3rd quarter.
The offense is okay but it's still sub par in the bigger scheme of things. And Louisville's defense is not that good. They may make a run through the Big East and get to a BCS bowl but they're going to get raped by whatever team they play there. This offense is going to struggle against SEC defenses. Maybe not as bad as we did last season, but it's still going to be bad.
I'm sorry, but we're the laughing stock of the conference right now. We'll be worse then Ole Miss and Vandy this season. And while a dip is expected there is absolutely no excuse for this kind ineptitude.

As a Coordinator. In hindsight, he should've never been handed the keys to the program without any HC experience. Even guys like Gus Malzahn have had to go to a smaller program to get the HC experience to move back up. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case here but it is.
And I'm not anointing Brooks as the end all be all. He understandably plateau'd and I think there's absolutely some validity to his comments about the lack of administrative support with the program. And Joker is a fantastic, SEC quality, Offensive Coordinator. He's just not a very good Head Coach right now. And we need a new Head Coach.

I'm trying to look at things from a non-bias objective and here's my .02 cents:
1) UL is a better team, period. All around better team with a few more quality players. So, give there team some credit rather than blaming everything on what UK didn't do.
2) UKs offense is much improved. They still lack the ability to go deep, but, alot of that is because the OL isn't very good at pass blocking, at least not sustaining blocks. But, the RBs ran hard, They moved the ball thru the air alot better than they did in 2011 and the WRs can actually catch the ball.
3) I was disappointed in the DL. They got no pressure on the QB and were blown off the ball on running downs. We knew the secondary was going to be questionable already, so, our best shot at being an improved D, was in the trenches. Big letdown there as they really didn't give the secondary a fighting chance.
4) Tackling has got to improve. I don't know how many times the UL RBs or QB would be hit at or behind the line, but, squirt out and pick up 8-10 yards. Again, the DL were missing alot of these tackles.
5) I was encouraged by the special teams. I thought the receiving team did a good and the punting was solid as well as punt coverage.
6) Coshick and Sanders looked great carrying the ball. They ran hard and finished runs. Sanders is gonna have to hold onto the ball though or he won't keep his position in the 2 deep, plain and simple.
7) Smith played with poise, checked off his reads well, stepped up in the pocket and was very accurate. He will be fine, as long as line will give him some protection. Reminds me alot of Hartline in his last year.
8) I do question some coaching decisions in the game, especially when they went for it on 4th and 9, from the 21-23 yd line. They needed 3 scores to get back in it, why not get the 3 and get within 15(2 tds) and try another onside kick or try and get a stop. There was plenty of time left to comeback at that time. Secondly, going for the fake punt that deep in your own territory showed a sign of desperation. You maybe go for the fake if it were 4th and 5 or less, but, they needed 16 yds. That was a bad, bad decision, imo.
9) I think Collins is gonna be a playmaker for us. He impressed me. Boyd, also looks like he's finally gonna contribute. These are 2 good signs, imo.
10) UL lived up to its billing. They're a legit Top 25 team, probably better than Vandy, Florida, Tennessee, Mizzou and maybe even SCarolina. They're better offensively than any of those teams and if they shore up the run defense, they'll be awefully hard to beat. I say this, because I think UK has a better chance of beating these SEC teams than they did UL, because those teams aren't near as potent offensively.
Overall, I saw some good things and saw some other things that need to be fixed quickly, mainly the OL giving better pass protection, the DL being able to hold the LOS better and tackling needs improvement. The WRs look better than expected, the running game looks better, Smith looks much more confident and poised and special teams look good. I think the Cats will take there lumps at times this year, like they did today, but, they will pull off a surprise or 2 before alls said and done. It's a long season and let's just hope they continue to progress and learn from each game.

Can anyone defend Joker after this disgrace?
