I wonder about the Wildcat. When Cobb ran it, it was almost all running. Cobb didn't strike me as being the best at throwing, just adequate. I always thought that's why we tended to run it so often. With Whitlow (or maybe Newton?) running the Wildcat, can we expect more threat of a passing game?

I hope to see some Wildcat this season.
It is just hard to imagine seeing much of it since we saw so little of it even with a dynamtic player like Cobb running it.

I think we definitely see some wildcat. Wonder with so many quality RBs and Joker stating all will play, if UK implements a package with 2 RBs like the McFadden/Felix Jones Arkansas days?

McFadden was a QB in HS so there was a threat to pass. just 2 RB's back there would be pointless bc both safeties would be in the box then.

I hope the O is going good enough that the wildcat isn't necessary. I desire points & yards, not particular formations.

It seems like everything is proceeding as you'd want. Smith named QB, Newton handling his back up role with no complaints, Whitlow sounding like he can see the field this year in the Wildcat package, and we can redshirt Towles for the future. I'm very pleased with the way the QB situation is shaking out.
