I'm not really stuck on whether the new coach should be offensive or defensive minded. If I had to choose, I guess I would prefer the head coach be more defensive minded because I think it is easier to get a good OC than it is to get a good DC.

I don't know if Neal Brown is ready to be a head coach or not yet. But being a "hometown boy", I would think UK could get him here if they chose to go that direction and would spend a little $$$. Especially if we end up having to go the route of a veteran coach such as a Fulmer or Tuberville.

He is from Oregon, and has absolutely no ties or coaching expierience in the southeastern United States. No thanks.

Rich Brooks was also pretty far down the list, and only got the job because we swung and missed on several other guys and because Mitch knew him from his days at Oregon State. And because we got him pretty cheap at $725k a year.

Sounds like we may be on the trail to some better candidates just thought he might be worth checking out considering how good the offense at Oregon is looking right now. Definately would need a good name to come with him to boost defense and recruiting.
