He definitely has an offer. If he chooses elsewhere, it won't be because he didn't have an offer.

I think that folks in Alabama would rather he would pick Kansas than UK from an SEC point of view. The obvious choice should be one of those two schools. I think that if pressure is coming on hard now, it could push him to Kansas if that sort of thing effects him. I think his gut is to pick UK, but the PT issue could be another factor against us.
If he is truly confident then he should pick UK. He will have to work as hard as anyone coming in to get that PT. He has to get athletic on defense. All the rest should fall into place. I'd love to see te purest shooter in this class come ad get his PT here,ala Jodie Meeks.

Lacey isn't a big recruit for UK and I don't buy for a second he has an offer from UK regardless to what the kid says.

Question: Has anyone asked this kid if going to a football-dominated school has any bearing on his decision? No matter how good Alabama is in basketball, they will be second fiddle to football. I'm just curious as I've not seen this asked/answer but I might have just missed it.

The hometown angle can play into it but if the question above is important, or an interesting one to the kid, then I can see this going a different way.

The Kid would have a role next year if he plays hard defensively. UK's roster is just short on quality guards.

That's funny. The only one that think it's going to be them is the one I'm almost completely sure it won't be.
