Coach Cal on with Tom Leach tonight. And a special guest, Joe B. Hall.
When Tom Leach told Cal that Joe B. was the one who started this show, Cal said "Now I know who to be mad at."

Cal said he told the players he wants them to keep pushing for individual improvement the next 5 weeks so that they're 2% better per week, 10% better by the time the tournament starts. Thinks the team still has a lot of room to grow.
Said he loved the way Doron Lamb played at South Carolina. Thinks Doron is a lottery pick if he'll play that asserted every time out. "He's gotta play."
Asked if he's said something to Terrence Jones to get him going lately, Cal reiterated the "they're not machines" saying he's fond of and added "there's other stuff going on in their lives." He says Terrence has just rediscovered his competitiveness and toughness.
Said he thinks opponents are trying to "maul" Anthony Davis when they bring him away from the basket now and try to let him take advantage of his ball-handling and passing skills. Planting the seed, perhaps, to get a better whistle?
Said there will be a special Anthony Davis poster given out on every seat at Rupp tomorrow promoting him as national defensive player of the year. Supposedly a very cool-looking shot.
Here's a pic of the promo poster. Very cool.

Dude has reinvented "long."
Joe B. reiterating the "following Rupp" story for Coach Cal, which has slayed the UK boss.
Joe says he lobbied for the UCLA job after Wooden retired because "there was no sense ruining two men's lives. I had already been through that."
Cal talking with Joe about how he enjoys getting out across the state and spending time with the fans. Proving once again that he "gets it," Cal says "You can't do this job hiding in the office."
Asked if the team is better or about where he expected them to be, Cal said "Better... but only here in the last couple of weeks."
Cal praised the Super Bowl setting in Indy and said he hoped it would become a semi-permanent venue for the Final Four, rotating with a couple other places. I think he mentioned San Antonio and New Orleans, but I got a phone call during that part and it cut out for a few seconds.
Thing about Indianapolis and New Orleans is that in both cities, everything is centrally located. You can walk everywhere.
10.41% actually... Where's my nerd glasses when I need them.
Clever stuff here.
