Post about the UK women in this thread as they try to knock off traditional power UConn for a trip to the Final Four.
Game about to tip on ESPN.

I'll watch it, why not. Go Cats!
Conn is just BIG
One of the issues with the women's game IMO. There's just not enough size spread among the better teams. You see schools like Baylor and UConn just dominate because they have a giant in the lane. That's kind of how the men's game was years ago before a deeper talent pool, more TV exposure and scholarship limits came along.
If they can get the big girl tired or in foul trouble then they can win. Thats her 2nd foul....
Keep pounding it inside.
Wow that was a shoulder block.
Come on, Ladies!!!
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
UConn has averaged giving up 44 ppg in the tourney. Cats had a GREAT half against them.
There have been some UGLY shots taken in this game... Wow.
I don't watch much women's basketball, but some of the senseless passes that are attempted make me scratch my head... Just no reason
womens ball is so ugly. unless they shoot jump shots, they just throw it blindly. lady cats need a big, and a strategy to stop back doors and slipping screens.
mathies having an off night hurt.
Great season for UK Hoops.
Does anyone else think Matthew Mitchell looks like he's straight out of Mad Men?
Good season, all in all. Proud of the Lady Cats. (Or UKHoops w/e works. )
Jeff what did you think of the big girl inside for UConn? I felt that she always drapped her arms over the offensive player and never was call for fouling. She also set several moving screens
She bullied them pretty good. They called something ticky-tack on her at the very end. I was like, "Really? Now?"
