Jones, stoops, and dykes have officially said "thanks but no thanks" to Mitch. Insiders??
According to Tucker, an unnamed uk spokesman said "agents are telling their client not to touch it (uk), that it's a dead end job.".
And whose job is it to convince them otherwise? Not comforting whatsoever.

I have a hard time believing anybody within uk athletics is talking to the courier journal.
But if there is a leak from uk it could mean they have their guy .
Folks may feel comfortable talking now.
All that to say. I like Kyle. But I'm betting this report is not accurate. Somebody may well habe talked within uk athletics but im betting that person was speculating, just like everybody else is.
Mitch has reportedly not talked with anybody but capilouto about the search...

Hopefully those that have been outspoken against MacIntyre will realize that, given the perception, UK would be very fortunate to get MacIntyre. Honestly, I think he's a good hire anyway. I like the connection to Parcells and the fact that he's re-built a dumpster fire at SJSU in 3 years.
Paul Finebaum had an interesting quote tonight. Said he spoke with a few agents and some coaching candidates this weekend. Said the interview process has dramatically changed over the years. He said when a coach gets a call asking to interview, the roles are now reversed. It's no longer the school interviewing the candidate, it's now the candidate and his agent interviewing the school and AD. Said the first thing a coaching candidate asks for today is a thorough analysis from the AD on all the spending he had done on football in hi tenure, ie what new facilities have you overseen and raised money for.
What must candidates think of UK's commitment to football when they pose that question to Mitch?
I hate tweets like these because we've seen how different "sources inside the program" can be inaccurate.
If this is true we have some serious work to do in selling the program and it would appear that a lot of the "commitment" talk about facilities, etc. is either not being received well or doesn't matter.
If not true then the source and Tucker need to be muffled.

minter, I know this is not the usual for your comments but can you at least give us some proof of that Tucker statement, surely you saw it online or in your mind?
Kyle Tucker @KyleTucker_CJ
Per a source inside UK athletics, Butch Jones, Sonny Dykes and Mark Stoops have all said "no thanks" to Kentucky.
Larry Glover mentioned on his show tonight that he wants to do a show this week on UK athletic spending. Says he has document donors receive that shows UK spends more on Olympic sports combined than what is spent on football. We'll see Wednesday night what he has to say.
If I'm Barnhart, I root out and fire any employee making those comments to Kyle Tucker. It's beyond ridiculous for any employee of UK athletics to make those comments during the midst of a coaching search. Alterior motives by any employee making those comments.
Are you really naive enough to think Mitch hasn't been talking to agents and/or candidates 24/7 lately?
I agree with you. ^^^^
First off I dont believe anyone inside UK would say that at all. But in the off chance they did Kyle Tucker by repeating just lost every source he had inside UK and probably Louisville.
Now one of two things probably happened. Made it up, which I doubt, or a booster with an agenda ssid it. JMHO
Makes me wonder if macintyre has accepted the job.... You know, everyone else under consideration "pulls" their names before the announcement is made of the hire.
He has... this shit ends tomorrow
I'm not one to typically make predictions and I certainly don't claim to have sources, but I just got a text from the most involved person I know. Says Stoops has agreed in principal within the last few hrs to be UK's next coach. We'll see?
All I know is I'm 98% sure that 85% of the people reporting know 57% of what's actually going on 90% of the time.
LoL.. So true.
Stop it. I can't take it anymore.
Hell....me,myself,and I say Herm Edwards will be our coach. No sources....just the unknown coach guess.
Come on take one more! Led by JoeB and the COAL millionaires, they have talked the UK board into ignoring MB and the President, and will hire Petrino at the eleventh hour. Will announce at high noon tomorrow, with all the other announcements. :)
Is it just uncool to admit to not knowing what the elf is going on? Because I don't know ish and don't mind saying it. It seems like everybody but me knows what's gonna happen. ha ha
Personally I think they should get all of the coaches that you want to hire to be live at their current locations and have college hats in front of them like the high school kids do. At the same time have all of them put on the hat where they will be HC at. Hopefully your school doesn't get left out. lol
