that the Harrison Twins won't sign with UK in the early period? I mean they say it is a precaution but any and everyone will be in their ear from now to the late period. Even though the article linked says it is not to see who is staying and who is leaving I think that will still be something they are going to look at.
But never fear: Keep Calm and Carry On

Keep Calm & Stoops On..
Word today is that has changed and they'll do their paperwork in early period. That said, I'm surprised more top prospects don't go that route in order to protect themselves.

correct me if i am wrong.
But did BK ever sign the LOI?
No. He signed scholarship papers, and that's it.
Jason Jordan just confirmed that with Harrison Sr.
Even if they do sign an LOI and change their mind, can't the school choose to release them with no penalties?
Nope. It's a really smart move on their part. There are literally a million things that could happen over the next few months.
You're correct but Kngiht also did not commit to Kentucky until April. Most are right it definitely protects them. My only thing is, in the spring when we found out for sure that Archie is staying would that sway them to go elsewhere but it sounds like now they are signing anyway. I'm sure Cal didn't like the fact they wanted to wait either hence the sudden change of heart after they said their mind way made and they were not signing no matter what.
Technically, they could ... but the NLI Review Committee is very very stringent in their administration of the LOI rules without some legitimate extenuating circumstances (coaching change, probation or penalties for the program, etc.). It's very unlikely that the NLI Review Committee would grant a release just because a recruit changed his mind.
Archie may find himself impersonating John Hood in that situation.
The Harrison twins have known they were coming to UK since they first hit puberty.
Only thing I find troubling is that one of them can't join the team in January to play point guard.
