Supposedly, Malzahn will be the next coach at Auburn from footballscoop.com
...AStateNation is reporting that Gus Malzahn has now accepted the head coaching job at Auburn. More to come...
BB just said two weeks ago that he and big 10 didn't do anything nor wanted to be compared to the SEC in any way, shape, form, or fashion!
Guess a few million can sway a man's opinion, quickly.
Is he the current coach at Wisconsin? That is a surprise, if so.
Wow. I've been following the coaching searches quite a bit and didn't see his name come up a time.
It's probably a good hire, although he's never worked in the south.
Looking at his bio, he would have played under legendary Iowa graduate assistant Mark Stoops.
Big name hire, but we'll see how it translates to the SEC.

WOW the coaching spots are being filled with urgency not to say they are selecting them at random. Its because of 2 things IMO, and those are 1. They have to hire fast to get the guy they want 2. Because of the recruiting aspect. Colorado its been reported has an offer out there to Butch Jones, like to see what he says.

Kind of a weird hire. It will probably turn out well as long ad he has some assistants familiar with the southeast.
I call the Ark hire a grand slam.

I guess you'll have to reset your batting order jamccain. The best part about the YookOvEL & YooTee battle for Cholly Strong was that one of them would lose and look bad. I had no idea that UofL would find a way for both schools to look dumb. Paying Strong that much money to stay was complete desperation. Their fans seem to think they won something, and only time will really tell. All I know is that for that kind of money Strong better win the ACC every year.
