First pitch in about 10 minutes...Game is on CSS and ESPN3.com ... Corey Littrell on the hill for the Cats...

Also, as little sense as it seems to make this is an elimination game. Winner to the championship game, loser heads home.
Funny how baseball works…Lucas Witt starting first game in weeks in LF and first pitch of game is a skied fly ball to him. The ball just always seems to find you.
Solid first inning from Littrell, with only a 2-out walk to blemish the frame. Cats coming to bat in bottom 1st
Pretty good first of the inning for the 'Cats!
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
UK gets a runner to 2B on a 2-base error, but Maile and Reed strike out to end the bottom 1st. 0-0 headed to the 2nd.
Cats are going to have to adjust to State's lefty starter (Pollorena), who appears to be classic slinging, speed changing southpaw
Miss. State leads 1-0 after a golf shot dumped into RF, SAC bunt and single up the middle
Double for MSU drove a run in. 1-0 MSU
Littrell tightens up, gets out of the 2nd with only the 1 run allowed; Miss. State 1, UK 0; B-2nd
J.T. Riddle blasts a solo HR over the RF wall to tie the game at 1 in bottom of 2nd. Almost the same spot as Reed's homer against Ole Miss. That ball was crushed.
Riddle's homer and Lucas Witt's single up the middle followed 3 straight K's by Pollorena. MSU coach John Cohen to the mound to talk.
UK 1, MSU 1; T-3rrd; Cats ran themselves out of possible bigger inning there as Witt thrown out trying to advance on pitch in dirt.
Miss. State applies the pressure again with another leadoff single, SAC bunt, SAC fly and two-out sinking liner to CF that plates a run; MSU 2, UK 1; B-3rd
Corey Littrell has been dominant all season but State knocked him around in regular season finale and doing so again a bit in this one
Cousino showed nice patience in that AB
A leadoff walk to Austin Cousino in bottom of the 3rd ends MSU pitcher Luis Pollorena's day; State has used a lot of arms this week.
Cousino steals 2B, but it was a bang-bang play; Then McCarthy scalds a ball that hits Cousino in leg, which means he's out. Tough break. This after McCarthy missed what would have likely been RBI double by inches down RF line.
Maile grounds out and Reed flies out to CF to end the 3rd. Another inning where UK probably left a run or two on the field. MSU 2, UK 1; T-4
Gary Henderson said during in-game interview he wanted Littrell to get pitches down. Did better job in 4th; MSU 2, UK 1; B-4th
UK again has some bad luck, as MSU 2B makes diving stop to rob Witt of a hit and runners at 1B/3B with 1 out. Instead, Cats get nothing.
Another leadoff single and SAC bunt to move runner to 2B for MSU. That's how Bulldogs have scored both of their other runs too.
This time Littrell jams batter to force a groundout to 2B and end threat; MSU 2, UK 1; B-5th
Cats get 2-out single by McCarthy and walk by Maile; Runners on 1st/2nd; State bringing in lefty to face lefty hitting AJ Reed in B-5th
A.J. Reed Ks looking on 3-2 pitch; Reed now 0-3 with 2 Ks with runner on 2B today (all 3 at bats came with 2 outs too); Miss. State still leads 2-1 heading to the 6th
Doesn't make sense to have 3/4 of the tournament as double elimination and then play the final four as single. How does the SEC explain that rationale?
