Been told WKU is getting ready to make a big splash in the coaching world. If true it could it make the state of KY a VERY crowded state in regards to big time coaches.

Who they gonna hire Petrino?
Petrino is interviewing at Arkansas State tomorrow. I doubt it's him.
Well then who? I can't think of anybody. Butch Davis maybe?
Did I miss Taggart leaving WKU? Maybe it is a basketball coach.
Yeah, you missed it...he left for USF.
Thanks, I had not heard that.
I wonder who in the world they could hire that would make a "big splash"?
Been a Cat fan since August of '92
This sounds like a case of one of those WKU fans who think they are way more important in the landscape of college sports than they really are. I don't see them making a big splash hire. John Gruden to WKU!!!!
Oh its a big splash if it happens.
He's talking about Petrino.
The money guys in BG are trying to convince the ad to hire Petrino. Yet to be seen if they do.
But...but...he's gonna take a BCS job at Auburn, UT or some other really big job....oh wait. I said back in the spring after he was fired that he'd be a good candidate to replace Mike Price at UTEP after he was either fired or retired, but he's had a harder time finding a job than I thought he would.
That would be hilarious. Do Western and UL play?
No but Western and UK play in week 2 or 3.
We play Western week 1 and louisville in week 3
Been told by someone in WKU administration that a deal is being finalized. Not in place yet. But it is Petrino
OK bout to say that is the only splash hire that I could think of. Outside of Petrino I was lost.
We play western in week one at LP field.
This "basketball" area is really making a splash in football. Strong was heavily sought after by UT. Stoops to UK. Tuberville to Cincinnati. Indiana did a good job last year. Now Petrino to Western? Wow.
As long as we have Stoops I'm not worried about who is at UL or WKU.

Petrino to WKU would be a huge hire for them. I think he'd be better off at Ark St though as I think they have more talent there and I don't want him in this state.
Alot of confidence in a coach that has yet to coach his first game. That's true Big Blue madness. Every coaching hire is the best and that's how all fans have to think.
Here's to hoping Stoops is half the coach his brother Bob is. That will get UK back to at least 6-6 and more Music City bowls within a couple of years then on to bigger opportunities by year 3.
