Pretty favorable bracket for UK in the South (Atlanta) IMO:
5) St. Mary's
8)/9) matchup of Illinois/Southern Miss
Chris, do you think we would play the first two rounds in Louisville or Nashville?
Unless UK were to completely fall apart down the stretch, UK going to be in Louisville. Huge motivation for the Cats to finish strong. That's essentially two home games in the NCAA Tournament. Would be huge.
That would be interesting, a second round possible showdown with Darnell Dodson.
Mizzou has a favorable seeding until they would have to play UNC, who has a cake walk into the Elite Eight. UNLV wouldn't beat them twice in one season and not another team in that part of the bracket has a prayer.
Oh wow. Hadn't thought of that.

Kentucky will be close enough to home in the second round in Atlanta or St. Louis to have virtual home crowds in those two games...
The only thing that worries me is this.... We will have been to New Orleans a month earlier and our fans will have seen us in the first two rounds. We also made the final four last year.
Will our fans go back to New Orleans twice in a month? Will they go to games 4 weekends in a row?
I worry that we will get to New Orleans having been in "home crowd" situations and then face a situation where we have a good group of fans but not an overwhelming majority.
Never have to worry about our fans. We ALWAYS have strong fan support!!!
GO BIG BLUE!!!
The BBN is like an army...if there's some that aren't willing to go there's always a group itching and waiting behind them. It never fails that anywhere you go do you not hear the "Go Big Blue!" chant, unbelievable fan base

Outside of Baylor none of those teams to me really pose a threat on a neutral court. I would love that kind of a draw for us in the tourney, especially if we start in Louisville
Hopefully not Nashville, that would mean we would have fallen to 3 seed.
The biggest question isn't where IMO so much as what kind of arena/dome. Familiarity is strong with the GaDome, which is considered a good place for basketball. Then you have places like Reliant in Houston last year which practically ruined the Final Four.
One thing I would keep an eye on in that regard. Should UK draw Kansas in the St. Louis bracket, could make for a bit of a pro-KU crowd in St. Louis.
Anyone who traveled to NYC for the Kansas game knows that KU travels very, very well also. Could be a repeat of 2003 when UK was forced to go through both Wisconsin and Marquette in Minneapolis.
This Bracket would be the most favorable for UK. I like our matchup in every scenario would favor UK inside and out we may be the most balance team until the final four!
Would love to see us in Atlanta. The Big Blue Faithful turn out there like no other city, imho.
