You beat me. Mods please delete or merge my thread. Thanks.
I'd rather not have OSU. I'm not all that afraid of them. I think Davis would murder Sully. But I'd much rather have Duke or Missou.
Welcome the new generation of domination.
As long as we don't get Mich State I don't care who our 2 is. In all cases of the other 2s I think there's a solid chance that the 2 seed is gone before the Elite 8 anyway.
i am sure most of you know, but MSU did lose one of their starters to a torn ACL yesterday. but i agree with you avoiding MSU would be a good thing.
Who? I missed that game because I had to finish an accounting packet for school.
Boy, that would be a nice bracket, imo. Which of course means that we will get the shaft yet again when it comes to our bracket. LOL... I always am weary of Mich. State.... but I think we could handle them this year. Maybe we'll run in to UCONN this year so we can settle a score with them.
I tend to be pretty concerned with UNC right now.
Branden Dawson but I think he's either their 6th or 7th man actually. Because I though Payne and Green started up front with Nix and Dawson off the bench but I haven't watched a lot of Mich State either this year.

These bracketologies aren't ever right, but I could live without the possibility of Florida State in my bracket.
Agree about UNC, but they're most likely to be on the other side of the bracket. I have a feeling they'll drop a dud one game and don't make the final four. They should make it, but I think they're mental toughness beats them in the end.
Really, that's a major hit for the Spartans. He's a major contributor for them and I've heard some refer to him as the next Jason Richardson.
UCONN @ 10 is a scary thought.
They may have the second best collection of talent to UK in the bracket.
Starter or not Dawson is the 2nd leading rebounder for Mich State and 3rd leading scorer so it's a pretty big loss for them. Still I don't want to play a slug it out team like Mich State to go to the Final 4 because of all the beef they have inside with Green, Payne, and Nix.
I'd love to match up with Ohio State, MKG would drive Buford crazy and Sullinger and Thomas are both jump shooting bigs that our length would frustrate. On paper it's a great match up for us. I'm a little more skeptical of a match up with Baylor but they don't overly scare me either because Brady Heslip has to guard someone when he's on the floor.
Florida State is really the only team that gives me any pause in this bracket but I think a lot of that fear steams from the UNC and Duke games. Duke's guards can't defend like our guys do and UNC didn't defend in the FSU game at all. If you pressure Ian Miller and Michael Snaer FSU is going to struggle to score and Hamilton's teams always seem to struggle against teams that can compete with them athletically.
I think you're right, Nate....but I just hope they don't screw something up in the ACC and wind up being a 2 seed in our bracket. But if they do get the 1 seed, I'm sure they will stick them on the other side. At least...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Just when I was ready to write off Ohio State as an elite team, they go into East Lansing and beat Michigan St.
But if I were a UK fan I'd take that.
Dawson doesn't get hurt I don't think Ohio State wins that game but it makes a lot of difference for them in seeding.
more detail on Dawson being hurt...
Michigan State's national title hopes took a serious hit Sunday when the Spartans announced that starting freshman forward Branden Dawson tore his left ACL and is done for the season.
That's a shame. He was getting better and better. Prototypical Sparty/Izzo-type player.
Sullinger could also get Davis is a world of early foul trouble. That, plus Craft on Teague and the revenge factor from last year, makes OSU a team to avoid IMO.

I keep thinking that, too. They're just kind of lurking out there. Nobody's talking about them at all due to their performance to date, but it wouldn't surprise me at all for them to put things together and make a tourney run.
Do not disagree. Although I think Sullinger would have trouble scoring on Davis. But could get him in foul trouble.
Guys, you've got to play somebody and there are plenty of teams we can wring our hands about a potential upset; it's the NCAA tourney for cripes sake! The Cats will be fine as long as they play their game regardless of the opponent. You all worry more than my wife!!!
