That's a good question that I've never really had an answer for. Same goes with Amile Jefferson.
Evidentially jefferson looked good last night in the Derby classic.
Rumor has it...Oriakhi will be visiting Lexington on April 20.
If this was already posted, I'm sorry.
Not all sources are saying that the staff does not feel good about Shabazz ...
This. Jeff goodman said earlier this week that the Ucla staff and uk staff are telling people that they have them.
Agree with Chris. For those holding out hope for Shabazz, that would seem to be a decent clue. But it's hard to tell with that stuff sometimes.
I've heard hear in the last few days that there may be a name popping up soon that "none of you have heard about." (The way my source put it.) That really intrigues me.

That would be.. intriguing as hell.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
Is it this guy?
I can't see Cal giving a scholarship to someone no one has heard about unless it was some top prospect from Europe(doubtful).

YOU MAY HAVE THE WINNING GUESS.
Ok Thanks. I guess this means it's going to be awhile. I don't blame him.
If UK gets Noel, I don't think they'll get Oriakhi also. Just seems like the same situation he was in with Andre Drummond at UConn last season.
Oriakhi agreed to come off the bench and essentially play behind Drummond. It didn't help that the UConn coaches never figured out how to use them both together.
I can see him shying away from a similar situation at UK with Noel next season.
Very interesting situation shaping up with shabaz. Will the national pundits Be proven wrong or will the local guys be proven wrong? So much conflicting info out there.
The info on Shabazz has been all over the place on the national level, but I've continued to hear UCLA consistently for months now.
And after watching the way he put up shots last night, my gut just says UCLA. Not every player wants to buy in like UK's guys did this season. Some want to be the man. Muhammad can do that at UCLA. Not at Kentucky.
I did not think the SEC allowed a one year transfer???
Drive for 8!
That's just for football, I believe. Call it the Jeremiah Masoli rule.
Looks like that might be him. Certainly fits the bill. Very interesting.
Goodman reporting Oriakhi has cut Duke from his list, likely coinciding with the return of Mason Plumlee.
IMO, if UK really wants him, he'd be a fool not to come here. He's likely guaranteed to start in a system he'd thrive in and cement him as a sure-fire NBA first rounder. He's the muscle the 'Cats need down low for 2012-13.

Goodman, who's become the source on Oriakhi, says "somewhat surprisingly" that Oriakhi still plans to visit UK even with Noel's commitment.
they r buddies. and maybe noel can play the 4 and oriaki the 5 who knows. we need some strength noel skinny wiltjer skinny are thickest guy is poythress.
I agree with this comment.
We have Poythress/Noel/Wiltjer/Cauley in the front line-up. I think that's a lot of talent and firepower.
I don't think Oriakhi would get anywhere near 30 minutes. Probably 20 minutes at most.
That's assuming Bennet doesn't come to UK. If Bennet shows up, that's no room for Oriakhi.
Btw, i take Bennet over Oriakhi.
i agree they would be able to both play the 4 and the 5 meaning they can switch on low post ball screens and it wont hurt as much when noel gets in foul trouble we wont miss a beat wit AO at the 5
