Not saying either will coach here or are even on Mitch's list. Outside of maybe Kirby Smart they seem to be the talk amoungst most of the fanbase. Which one would you pick if they were the final two and they both had agreed to take the job? Why?
I would go with Leach. Like the passing attack and I think he could win here. Maybe not 9-10 wins a year but if he was .500 career coach that would be successful considering our history.
I really can't bring myself to like Petrino. Yes, great football mind but his history is tough to look past. I would feel like I would be getting UL's sloppy seconds, granted it would probably piss the cards fans off something awful.
Petrino. He wins games. End of story.
Been a Cat fan since August of '92
Petrino. He wins games, great offensive mind, would give us instant credibility. He might be a POS person, but I'd rather win. He has no issues with the NCAA, no violations. He would/could open up a pipeline to Trinity, and the rest of Louisville. JMO.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
Honest Bob...ALL DAY. Get him a whole room of ex-volleyball players and get to climbing the SEC ladder...
Petrino. Scumbag, but would sure tick off UL fans when Strong leaves for Arkansas.
I think Petrino is the better coach, but he's left a wake no matter where he has went. Other programs may be able to bounce back from his "wakes" more than ours would. Leach is loyal and he tends to stay.....and he wins. He would still in Texas had the debacle not gone down. Leach has baggage, but he's innocent. Petrino has baggage, and he's always been found guilty.
Petrino has proven he can win in the SEC. I really don't think Leach's sytem would be successful in the league. JMHO.
Did you not see that game with Washington State the first weekend I think it was? That team looked horrible and their offense looked lost. Petrino is about the same if not more of an offensive genius than Leach, and recruits like crazy and all he does is WIN WIN WIN. If he brought that kind of winning attitude to Kentucky, you would see the same kind of turnaround that you've seen with Cal. People just dogged him for years while he was in Memphis and UMass, now that he has a program that sells itself, the lid has almost been blown off with the potential of what he could do.
BP. Salary around 2.5 mil a year, 15 mil buyout, and nice bonus for completing first contract.
He can hire girlfriends and gets a free motorcycle.
I'm with Big Sarge. Hell, give him his own strip club called Petrino's.

Petrino. Leach would get destroyed by sec defenses. Plus his defenses where bad in the big 12.
Petrino between these 2.
He's still my #1 choice. Don't know if there is mutual attraction or not but I think he would win, and would stock the cuppard.
There are rumors that UK has put feelers to Petrino. I have a hard time believing it but guess we will see.
Geez..are you guys serious? Personally..I dont want either. Petrino is a liability and Leach is a all offense.. Smart or Bud Foster.
Smart makes me nervous. Is he a product of all that talent and Nick saban? Or is he that good? Is bud Foster a strong enough recruiter? How conservative will his offense be?
