Jim Nantz is a huge UNC homer. Turn the sound down and listen to Westwood One's radio crew - John Thompson and Bill Raftery do a great job.
I cannot stand John Thompson.
Yep hes for anybody playing us. And add the homerism and -
the 4 charging calls and the lack of ONE blocking foul in the entire game shows its us against the opponent, the refs and the world.
Exactly. Not saying it means anything at all, just gets annoying to listen to.
I give Steve Kerr a bit of a pass. Probably should have done a little more homework but he's an NBA guy. I don't expect him to be 100 percent spot on doing an NCAA game.
I'm assuming it syncs up radio with the TV broadcast? That's pretty cool. May need to invest in one of those.
It did seem that way, but I think it's common for everyone (including broadcasters) when there's a huge, overwhelming favorite.
Kellogg used to be one of my favorites, but (totally aside from this issue) he seems to get more annoying with each passing year.
Kellogg is bad but Kerr is horrid...Nance just needs to stick to golf and his Tiger Woods worship...That is one horrible basketball
My feelings exactly. Jimmy Kimmel made fun of Kellog's interview of Obama at the basketball game with the UK prime minister: he touched Obama's shoulder or arm 37 times!
CBS made a huge mistake letting Gus Johnson go but even still, Kevin Harlan, Bill Raftery, Jay Bilas, etc. are all so much better than Nantz or Kellogg.
It's wonderful! So very, very glad that I got it. Sometimes the TV broadcast is several seconds slower than the radio, and the Sport Sync radio makes them at the same time. --Or you can set it a little ahead, if you want. Can even do replays. Listening to the UK broadcast is so much less frustrating. Like their insights, too, since they know the UK players better. The link to the radio is on Tom Leach's web site.
I find the quality is somewhat lacking. About what transister radios were in the '60s and '70s
I am who I am, said he who is. 15,235
I'd rather listen to anyone than Kellog / Nantz. Harlan is very good, so is Bilas and Raftery.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
Pleased with the quality. Better than most transistors. Digital.
So glad to be able to not have to listen to the TV broadcast.
Where do you go about purchasing one of these bad boys?
On Tom Leach's web site: http://www.tomleachky.com/.
The link is on the right side of the page...little more than half way down the page.
With the shipping it cost a little more than I expected, but have enjoyed this season so much more with it.
I also linked it above.,
