Just had a great conversation on flight home from final four. Says cal is perfect for uk. Understands and follows rules To a "t". Says that he is almost universly liked in coaching community.
Said notre same to acc In next couple of years and Louisville to big xii. Also said vandy may get a look from acc.

i dont think he knows what he is talking about with those 3 schoold
I have a hard time believing you talked to a prominent head coach when you don't even provide his name.
All sounded accurate to me.
Ok. If that's what you want to think.... That's fine. If you follow my posts i don't blow smoke. Just landed. He is getting up right now.
I mean. It makes complete sense for me to make ish up about two random schools.
as far as conference realignment issues, I doubt any head coach, no matter how "prominant", knows anything more reliable than what fans know via the standard message board rumors
I hope you're not being serious. Coaches know a LOT more about what is going on than do the fans from message boards.
Great! I'm so excited about conference realignment. LOL.
Actually, I can see Vandy going to the ACC and UL going to the Big 12, like he stated. Even the Notre Dame insight is likely, however, none of this is new news. All these scenarios have been discussed on message boards pretty regularly ever since the Mega Conference talks began..
I would say there's a 10% chance Vandy leaves the SEC, if that. Founding member as well as much much much much more money.
The only way Vandy leaves is if major, major changes happen and the SEC decides to become a state flagship conference. In that case, Vandy and Miss. State may go (with a very remote chance of Auburn going if they truly wanted to stay to one school per state). They would have to get guarantees from any combination of Texas, Oklahoma, UVA, UNC, Maryland, or one of the current Big 10 flagship schools to make it back to 14 schools or expand to 16. In other words, Vandy leaves the SEC when there is no more NCAA involvement in football. I have a feeling if that happens, Vandy's relocation will be the low on the totem pole of stories. Put another way, when pigs (or Tigers, or Bulldogs, or Commodores) fly.

Land The Plane
Well I wanna know who the coach was... Just guessing Joe B since I assume you were traveling back to KY.
Nope. Current coach. Connecting flight from Nola to atl.
Is there a reason you don't want to name the coach?
It was Rick Ray.
I realize after reading it again that I came off sounding like a prick. I apologize for that. Still I'm not sure what your reason is for noting providing a name. I'm pretty sure no is going to hunt him down and ask about the information you posted.
Thanks for sharing Hop...it doesn't matter who the coach was (just a veiled attempt to discredit you by someone who doesn't want to agree with the information).
Hop theinfo is appreciated, thank you
Everytime Cal says that the UK job is not for everyone I always get the feeling what is really being said is that if you need to cheat to lure kids to Lexington, don't apply. UK will always be in the NCAA fish bowl.
The meanest dog in Taiwan.
Thats not even close to what he's saying. Its the media attention and pressure that will make your hair turn grey.
btw, now that it's done, I sat next to Mike Brey on the way back from the final four.
Ha ha. Well I hope he isn't as connected on the UL prediction.
He mentioned that UofL wanted to get in the Big Xii, not necessarly that they were going to get in the Big Xii. I don't think it's a huge surprise to most that UofL has been beggin the Big XII for two years now. I just don't see where UofL fits in any conference other than the big east.
I thought it was hogwash when you posted but props to you.
