wrong everyone may THINK Cal is dirty but that doesn't make it a fact. Furthermore, not everyone thinks he is dirty, just your UL loser fanbase and those who have an agenda against him or UK. Hell, I admit I'm no fan of Cal the person simply because I loath his condescending tone and attitude. But the man isn't cheating any more or less than any other coach in college basketball. IF he were cheating why hasn't a single player came out against him? Why hasn't the news found something on him? Why hasn't the NCAA acused him?
And who cares what dipshit Jones used to say or says now? I know I don't.
You know what I find hilarious. Birdseat and some of the guys that visit these boards. They are the cream of the crop when it comes to UofL fans. Some of the brightest of the bunch. How sad is that?
Poof. They disappear after bring proven wrong
So you fire someone based on the testimony of a proven liar and con artist? I don't think so. You wait for the evidence to be presented and then make your decision.
You act as if hurtt hasn't been interviewed or given a chance to present his story.
Complete denial. Kind of funny yet sad too... More funny though

There is plenty of other evidence against Hurt, have you not been reading the thread?
You have to confirm a down vote on an iPhone. I'm not saying, I'm just saying...
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and it has made all the difference (Frost).
As I said, in denial...
There are photos of hurtt with recruits at shapiro's house and in bars with him with recruits.
But yeah, it's a big conspiracy against hurtt.
Take off the blue glasses. If there is to be no response or rebuttal by the "accussed" then penalties would already be set. They are not. Why? Because the NCAA is waiting for a reply.
So every assistant told the truth EXCEPT Coach Hurtt?
The judge does not decide on guilt until he has heard both sides. Consider it an arraignment.
The NCAA is never wrong? Wow with a track record like that.... I still know UK fans that claim to be set up by Emery.
Coach Crumm broke the rules prior to AD Jurich. U of l was on probation WHEN T. Jurich arrived.
A simple question: is your butt jealous of the amount crap coming from your mouth?
Rewriting history will not change it. Find 1 fan that went on record when Coach Calipari was at Memphis that did not think he was dirty.
It is easy to say it now, but show where you said it 5 years ago.
You may THINK what you feel is going to get you through the night, but if you ask your own AD you will learn the truth - if he is candid with you.
What is sad is someone named "twhit" - self-given name - is chastising.
Someone asked for U of L opinion. It was provided and your ilk decided to banter. I can do play that game. The difference is when you and yours start trying to insult I will stay with my opinion.
Your retort is to make the topic personal. Have fun with that. I am sure I will sleep well regardless of your opinion, which you will notice, was not sought - for a reason.
No one is saying conspiracy - that is something you laid out in your "whipping boy" post.
1) The NCAA came down with its opinion
2) The accused is given time to respond
3) The NCAA makes a final determination
4) If guilty, can his arse on the spot.
There is no gray area for me. There is no "everyone else is doing it". There is no "well they are cheating too".
I see at as pretty cut and dried.
There are photos of Reggie Rose on the plane, so what?

A. There are 90 days for the university/coaches to respond/appeal the findings. You said hurtt had not a chance to respond. He's been interviewed multiple times. That's why he's accused of misleading.
B. you acted like hurtt wasn't the only coach who lied. Considering the consequences for lying to the NCAA (pearl, others etc..) it's safe to assume that 99.9% of coaches now fess up when the NCAA comes calling. Sounds like hurtt was dumb enough to not listen to what pearl and those who have been given show cause... They all say •TELL the truth!
C. In terms of actual findings. They rarely get it wrong. Name an example when accusations at this point were proven wrong. Please.
D. You obviously didnt read the sports illustrated article. Jurich arrived in 07. NCAA didnt hand down penalties til 09. Violations occurred up to 08.
Reggie rose paid the money back... Again. No accusations of recruiting violations.
I'll talk candid with you. When I want an explanation of NCAA being right or wrong or a preaching of moral values from a fan of a team that has a coach that did something as bad as Bobby Petrino did and he didnt even get a slap on the wrist..as well as Clint Hurtt on their football staff that is involved deep in a NCAA investigation and ran from it to be there at your school..I'll let you know. What Hurtt did is bring players that were involved as well..they were all set to join the Miami team..untill they knew the NCAA was ready to come down on the Canes..my question is..how many games would UL have lost had Hurtt and the players he "recruited" to UL not been there??
We all know Hurtt is dirty. The guy was involved in paying recruits and players..and an active member in a Ponzi scheme..the facts will come out. UL needs to raise thier moral standards. THe sad fact is everyone there knew what type of "Man" Clint Hurtt was before he came there..unless they are blithering idiots. THey can feign ignorance all they want..Im not for 1 second dumb enough to buy it.
My only beef with the NCAA is they too long punished a school or program for deeds done by individuals..while the individuals that did the dirty deeds were too often unpunished..allowed to flee justice by going elsewhere. The NCAA has done a much better job of late of punishing the ones responsible...we will see how the whole Hurtt thing turns out. If Clint Hurtt isnt punished severely..then I will lose a lot of faith in the NCAA. UL too should get punished..they knew Clint was dirty..and they still paid the man to come..and bring kids like Bridewater and Eli Rodgers with him. UL used to be my 2nd favorite sports program behind UK..but no longer

You don't have to know much about the dealings in Miami. Although I don't believe a word of what you just said, it's odd that you, without any knowledge of the subject whatsoever (according to you), would so vigorously defend Hurtt.
Here's the timeline as I understand it:
1. Hurtt is the DL/RC for Miami. He allegedly provided improper benefits to recruits.
2. Hurtt is hired as DL/RC for UL.
3. Nevin Shapiro tells his story. NCAA begins investigation.
4. Clint Hurtt is interviewed by NCAA. He denies having provided improper benefits.
5. NCAA corroborates Shapiro's story (concerning Hurtt providing benefits) by interviewing former players who admit to receiving benefits.
6. NCAA sends NOA to Hurtt concerning a.) providing illegal benefits and b.) lying about it to the NCAA
Line items 4 and 5 could be switched, because I'm not sure of the timing of those two. Did Hurtt lie before or after the corroboration by former UM players? I'm not sure it matters in the least.
If Hurtt were solely accused of recruiting violations, I could sort-of see your point. But he isn't. He is accused of recruiting violations and lying about them to the NCAA. What is his response going to be? "I know Shapiro told you I committed violations and that it was corroborated by the actual former players who received illegal benefits, but I really didn't do it?"
It's not even that Rose paid the money back. It's that investigation showed he took these flights all the time, and that is NOT a violation if he pays. It was determined he paid for everything he was invoiced for. It was shown they failed to invoice him for less than 10% of the flights. He had already paid for more than 90% of them. The ncaa didn't have much heartache over it and simply considered it an administrative error. All parties corrected it, and that portion of the discussion was off the table.
So ALL coaches tell the truth? Even when they say "I didn't know"!!
You are barking the wrong tree. I could have sworn T. Jurich was with Louisville for more than 6 years. Guess not.
The NCAA gets it wrong all the time. Ask the UK board. Wait for it. Wait for it. Enos Kanter.
You like the gray area. I don't.
And the money was "paid back" after it was discovered that he rode all year for free.
You cannot read. If guilty, can his arse on the spot. Simple as that.
But do not preach ethics and recruiting when you have a current HEAD coach that has had two programs on probation under his watch. His response to each allegation "I didn't know".
Should anyone actually believe that?
We can go all day on this. It will not change a thing. If he is guilty, they should kick him to the curb.
If Louisville fails to do that, any future problems are on the staff. I have little patience for those breaking the rules.
Is it going to stop me from rooting the team on? No. No more than past indescretions stopped anyone here from still rooting on your cats.
The NCAA is a VOLUNTARY organization. If you cannot follow the rules of a voluntary group, get out it.
You are spectacularly bad at this.
Are you ever going to answer the question? What do you think Hurtt's response should be, in light of the allegations against him?
I'm not preaching anything at all, and haven't mentioned any other coaches in this thread. You're the only one spinning this and casting aspersions elsewhere. Which is unsurprising because you've worked yourself into a corner with your stupidity.
I find it hilarious that you don't accept a coach's "I don't know" in response to allegations, when your only response to the Hurtt timeline is "I don't know."
One last time, since you appear to be slow on the uptake: What do you think Hurtt's response to the allegations that he lied to the NCAA will be and how do you reconcile giving it so much credit, given that you've admitted that you know literally nothing about the situation?
Read my posts.
I said that the ncaa applies it's rules in a terrible manner and screws up punishment. But their ability to gather facts is VERY good. How they apply their rules and who they decide to investigate is the issue. Not their ability to establish fact from fiction.
Work on your reading comprehension.
NOBODY argued with the ncaa about the facts they gathered in the kanter case
