Has not competed in an event thus far, but is expected to compete later today.

Winston Guy 6'1" 186 4.4
UK's official Roster this year:
Danny Trevathan 6-1 232
Winston Guy 6-1 216
Guy is going tomorrow, Danny is supposed to be going today, I'm watching on NFL network and haven't seen him at all, not running the 40 or even standing around in the background. . .
Just saw on NFL.com that Danny isn't participating in the 40 for what ever reason. . .
Didn't see him at all either, and he definitely didn't run his 40. I put the live stream on at work just to watch.
Well, that sucks. Hope he didn't injure himself in a previous event.
Yeah, I sat around for an hour waiting to watch him, then he no showed. . .
I'm watching live. They just finished up the 40's and Danny did not compete. The LB's are now going to the field work. Perhaps we'll see Danny there.
He's not competing in the field drills either. I did see him standing next to Upshaw. He's wearing his black warm-ups which likely means that he's not going to participate much.
yep, he's #29, just skipped out on this drill as well. . . wonder why
...or to continue training a little longer and then perform at your school's Pro Days. He may have tweaked something in the last week or so and needs a little more time to heal, or he may be close to gaining a little more time on his 40 or in the other drills. It could be any number of things.
When is the UK pro day
FAR THE STRENGTH COACH!!@! HES MAKIN OUR GUYS SHORTER!
I think it's good that DT measured in at 6-foot. It's only an inch, but 5-11, perception-wise, is a big deal to a lot of people. Shouldn't be, but it is.

During the combine, Mayock and Willie McGinest made some comments on the smaller LB's. Specifically they were talking about Mychal Kendricks (Cal LB) who is 5'11" 240#. They said that as the NFL starts to move more and more toward a passing game the need for larger LB's is decreasing. (McGinest was 6'5" 270#) They said that the size of a LB doesn't matter as much as it used to as long as they are faster and can drop back into coverage. Hopefully this will bode well for Danny.
Shoot, perhaps even Winston. Winston could end up being a safety, a specialized CB, or balloon up to a OLB.
Good point. The Steelers are supposedly taking a long look at Bama's Hightower, but there's some major concern about whether he can be an every-down player and cover guys. Danny has shown that his coverage skills can be a huge asset in today's era of pass-happy football.
I commented at the end of the regular season that I thought Guy was the better pro prospect, and based on DT's measurables so far, I will stick with that prediction. Guy much faster and really, not all that much smaller.
But where does Guy end up playing? He's been analyzed as lacking hip flexibility and lack of agility for the safety position. He's too small right now for playing LB. He is likely not quick and agile enough to be a every down CB.
I think he could end up as a situational CB. Like a nickel or dime back that comes in to play a hybrid role or cover the larger receiving threats. An obviously special teams.
With Danny, I don't think he's fast enough or agile enough to develop into a safety. Definitely not a DB. He's limited to special teams and OLB. He's a bit undersized, but there are others who are paving the way. Wesley Woodyard (6' 229#) is playing decently as a situational LB. Danny could put on 10-15# more muscle which would put him in the 240-250 range and move to MLB.
I tend to agree with you, but DT has a pretty substantial intangible edge on Guy. It will be interesting to see how this shakes down.
Trevathan has shown time and time again he has knack to make big play after big play after big play. He covers sideline to sideline very well. And, today he comes in 6', 237#. What's not to like?
"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." ~ Emerson
Maybe a better prospect but I doubt he'll be a better player.
We shall see. I'm a big DT optimist.
trevathan will fall to fifth rd r undrafted but he will work his way onto a roster spot play special tms for awhile then work his way into a rotation somwhere to much production in the sec to not get a lonnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg look.
I didn't mean to say I didn't like him, just like Guy better. Guy played absolutely great at his new position in 2011, and really became an NFL prospect, at least in my opinion.
I'm at work and can't watch today, but the NFL.com website said that Guy just posted a 4.65 forty time (unofficial).
He did not partipate in the bench press it seems.
